Praying in the Name

I'm not baptized.

Acts 2:38-39 KJVS
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. [39] For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

\\ This baptism is for the remission of sins, seemingly.
\\The baptism seems to extend to others. Presumably, since I never had to "change my religion", there doesn't seem a need for this ceremony.

It does matter.

Mark 16:16 KJVS
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Not a church ceremony. This is biblical. You must be born of the water and the Spirit

This means that you can baptize yourself. No mention of baptism method here.

That is contextual, obviously. You seem to want to use the same word, /-baptism, for more than one meaning. You're going to have to choose one, because John stated that the baptisms were different.

If you have not been baptized, how are you dead with Christ?

Romans 6:3-4,7-8 KJVS
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. [7] For he that is dead is freed from sin. [8] Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Notice how he writes, "so many of us"? Why didn't he write 'all christians', or something?

Clearly this has some conversion inference, and would follow what the church baptism, is used for. Ie this is contextual.
