lolWhat does the context say?
I think it is a bad translation, it should say 'we want the same for all four men'.Act 21:23 Therefore do what we tell you. We have four men who have taken a vow...............
What is this vow called that Paul partook in? Was it called >>>"the vow of a Nazirite" ?
please help.
Context is always important, when reading all Scripture.
It wasn’t a Nazarite vow.Act 21:23 Therefore do what we tell you. We have four men who have taken a vow...............
What is this vow called that Paul partook in? Was it called >>>"the vow of a Nazirite" ?
please help.

That's for folks who read!Context? CONTEXT? We don't need no stinkin' context!
i guess i was wrong, it mentioned in Acts 18:18 too.I think it is a bad translation, it should say 'we want the same for all four men'.
It appears to be referring to the Nazirite vow.Tumah, you have knowledge of the Torah, not so?
Please enlighten us as to how many different vows there are described in the Torah.
It appears to be referring to the Nazirite vow.
Thank you kindly for your help Tumah
From the context it looks like they were just using this event to pretend that they followed Jewish Law, to get more followers, not because they actually believed it. I think I read somewhere, that Paul says it's ok to lie to get followers. And what does the context of the Nazirite vow stipulate?
Num 6:1 ADONAI said to Moshe,
Num 6:2 "Tell the people of Isra'el, 'When either a man or a woman makes a special kind of vow, the vow of a nazir, consecrating himself to ADONAI;
Num 6:10 On the eighth day he is to bring two doves or two young pigeons to the cohen at the entrance to the tent of meeting.(this is the temple for xtians reading here)
Num 6:11 The cohen is to prepare one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering and thus make atonement for him,...
Num 6:13 "'This is the law for the nazir when his period of consecration is over: he is to be brought to the entrance of the tent of meeting,(this is the temple for xtians reading here)
Num 6:14 where he will present his offering to ADONAI - one male lamb in its first year without defect as a burnt offering, one female lamb in its first year without defect as a sin offering, one ram without defect as peace offerings,.........
Num 6:16 The cohen is to bring them before ADONAI, offer his sin offering, his burnt offering,
Num 6:17 and his ram as a sacrifice of peace offerings to ADONAI, with the basket of matzah.
Act 21:18 The day following, Paul went in with us to Jacob; and all the elders were present.
Act 21:23 Therefore do what we tell you.........>> We have four men who have taken a vow.
Act 21:24 Take them, and purify yourself with them, and pay their expenses for them, that they may shave their heads.
Act 21:26 Then Paul took the men, and the next day, purified himself and went with them into the temple
Wow, > so Paul and the Elders did not know that "jesus" died for their sins?
No problem.
