Nigeria: Man stoned to death, set ablaze in front of police by radical Islamist mob on charges of bl

There are parts of the world still living in the bronze age.

This is a personification of society on religion.
Why call it "living in the bronze age"? Is injustice a bronze age thing?

Injustice is a human thing... or is it.
Evolution believers would not have information regarding when injustice originated, so they would not be able to tell anyone about apes being unjust to other apes, but what about injustice to other animals?

When one animal invades the territory of another, and slaughters "man, woman, and child", is that not injustice?
So why blame the Bronze age? Is it not nature to blame, based on the theory of evolution? Is that not Darwin's reasoning... Kill or be killed. Barbaric action has to be explained by evolution - natures process of national selection?

During the Bronze age, and before, injustice was a part of the nature of humans.
The Bible says Cain murdered his innocent brother.
Jezebel commited injustice when she used a similar approach to what still goes on in Islamic states.

(1 Kings 21:8-14) 8 . . .she wrote letters in Ahab’s name and sealed them with his seal and sent the letters to the elders and the nobles who lived in Naboth’s city. 9 She wrote in the letters: “Proclaim a fast, and have Naboth sit at the head of the people. 10 And have two good-for-nothing men sit in front of him and testify against him, saying, ‘You have cursed God and the king!’ Then bring him out and stone him to death.” 11 So the men of his city, the elders and the nobles who lived in his city, did just as was written in the letters that Jezebel sent to them. 12 They proclaimed a fast and had Naboth sit at the head of the people. 13 Then two of the good-for-nothing men came in and sat down in front of him and began to testify against Naboth in front of the people, saying: “Naboth has cursed God and the king!” After that they brought him to the outskirts of the city and stoned him to death. 14 They now sent word to Jezebel, saying: “Naboth has been stoned to death.”

Of course she thought she could get away with it, but she met a horrific death for her treachery.
(1 Kings 21:23) . . .concerning Jezebel, Jehovah has said: ‘The dogs will eat up Jezebel in the plot of land of Jezreel.
So said, so done.

Interestingly, in both these cases - Cain's and Jezebel's the creator, Jehovah called these acts unjust, and justice was expected.
The Bible describes him as a God who hates injustice, and with whom there is no injustice.
(Deuteronomy 32:4) The Rock, perfect is his activity, For all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness who is never unjust; Righteous and upright is he.

Now imagine that someone calls the God of justice unjust, because he carried out justice. Where is the justice?
Take the example of Jezebel. she murdered an innocent man, in order to get what belonged to him. God slaughtered her - through his servants, of course... as an act of Justice..
What if God appoints judges to carry out the act?

 What a dilemma.
Bronze age laws in Israel were just that. Justice being meted out on the unjust. In other words, one could not carry out injustice without impunity.
God's law required the case be brought before the judges, and a fair trial be given.
If found guilty, the person was to face the penalty - even if it meant pelting him with stones until he was dead... Ouch. I'll take the guillotine.
God gave permission to use stones or rock... if you will. Today they are not sure what to use in some lands - firing squad, the gallows, the electric chair. gas chamber,... I say throw them off the highest cliff. If they survive, they are free. :D I'm joking.

Anyway, it has nothing to do with Bronze age. It has to do with justice. 1) God never said someone should not have a fair trial, and 2) under the laws of the land, we cannot take that law into our own hand... or rather, it's not right in God's eyes that we do so... at least where the Bible is concerned.

The victim was first escorted out of his prison cell and pelted with stones. While unleashing violence, the Islamist mob continued to raise the slogan of ‘Allahu Akbar.’ The stoning continued until Ruwa lay motionless. The mob then doused his body with petrol and car tyres and set him on fire in front of his elderly mother.'

Source: Nigeria: Islamist mob chanting Allahuakbar set man on fire for committing blasphemy

What a way to treat the mentally ill! And seemingly no consideration for the effects of trauma on his elderly mother too.
I guess "God is Great", to them means God loves murder, because "God is Hate"?

“Should” according to whom? “Wrong” according to whom? No, there is no “should”. It is not about “right” or “wrong”. Blasphemy laws exist in certain parts of the world. If you behave there as you behave here you could be stoned and burned to death or worse.
Blasphemy laws violate the rights a person has to their thoughts, to speak their mind, and to be free of the religious dogma others impose. Instead of saying "oh well, just don't do it" we need to support those who do offend those with paper thin skin, those who would deny a person autonomy in life.

Evolution believers
What is an "evolution believer"?
If it's a belief, demonstrate it for us by showing us how other theories of science are a belief. Like gravity, germs, combustiblity of oxygen, doppler effect, amd so on.
Evolution is not a belief, it is a fact.
Amd it's total bull to imply those who accept evolution as the fact of life it is cannot have a basis of injustice. That claim is outright garbage.

I would hope you figure that reference as being a figure of speech. Mainly alluding that people ought to have matured more over time with advances that pretty much put actions like this into the bronze age category.

Obviously this group of winners can't distinguish mental illness from their own as far as I'm concerned.

They murdered someone over a puppet God because they know deep down their God won't do or say anything by itself.

Translated: 'If you are mentally ill in one of these countries, expect to be murdered by ignorant and violent religious fanatics'. I'm sorry, I just don't buy your argument this is okay. Most human beings would consider this wrong, regardless of what the country is they live in. Do you think we should murder the mentally ill who say inappropriate things? Is that a good moral thing to you?

It does not matter what people murder other people over. Injustice is injustice.

Yes, and some of us don't like it. Some of us, in fact, will take to being vocally critical of such places and such acts in the name of something as myopically fashioned as blasphemy. Some of us may even try and put a stop to such things if we are able or have the chance - taking, or helping to take power from those whose rule has allowed such to exist. If what they're doing currently "isn't wrong", then NEITHER IS ANY OF THAT.

Human rights that were invented recently.

It's a theory. It's in the name. I don't know why some people refuse to acknowledge it.

It is a mischaracterization for you to assert there is this notion of "evolution believers."
It's as bad as the term "evolutionists." It's as bad as claiming atheism is a religion.
Evolution is not a belief. It is a fact. Unless you believe you won't go kersplat on the ground if you jump off the Empire State Building.

Gravity is a theory. Germs are a theory. The Doppler Effect is a theory. Magnetism is a theory. The combustibility of oxygen is a theory. Tectonic plates are a theory.
I don't know why so many theists refuse to acknowledge the don't know what theory means and insist it's a layman's hunch.
Human rights that were invented recently.
Yup. Because the Bible doesn't believe in these rights. The Quran does not accept these rights.
Human rights established by humans. Not silly religions that want us killing people who leave and those who worship other gods. No, our human rights give us the freedom of religion, which is something that Jehovah explicitly prohibits.

Yeah. Just like some people who insist that something is a fact as if they don't know the meaning of the word fact... in scientific jargon, as opposed to otherwise.
Maybe they just like to play word games.

Yeah, it's just too bad the evidence for evolution is amazing - while the evidence for something like "creation" or "intelligent design" ends up being inane, ridiculous stuff like: "Look at the trees!" or even worse "Scientists can't make trees!", or "Make a tree, right now! Go on, do it!" People who use those kinds of statements as argumentation are just completely inept, ignorant and foolish, am I right?

In scientific research, carefully defining terms, albeit time consuming and extremely boring, is absolutely necessary. It's sorta like if a doctor is performing an operation but those helping him/her aren't sure what his/her words actually mean.

You don't want me to answer that. RF rules forbids.
