New Right Wing Talking Points: The Plot to Kidnap the Michigan Governor

The Right Wing talking heads are screaming 'entrapment' of the conspirators because of the number of Under Cover Employees and Confidential Human Sources the FBI had tapped for the operation to get these guys, claiming that the conspirators didn't really want to do it, but that they were coerced.

Here is the Criminal Complaint filed by the FBI in the plot to kidnap the Governor of Michigan last year. Don't let the talking heads tell you what went on. Get it from the source. Defendants are claiming entrapment. I am sure their attorneys will use this in their defense and the court will have to sort that out. The link has a .pdf of the complaint filed by the FBI. Note that most of the conversations were recorded.

The FBI has recordings of conversations with the alleged plotters which they will no doubt introduce in court and which the defense will have access to as part of discovery

So yet another conspiracy theory right-wingers believe in. Given the number of hoaxes and conspiracies they think have been, and are, perpetrated by the US government, you have to wonder why they stay here and how they can think of themselves as "patriots".

Yep, so much for the Republican Party being the supposed "Party of Law & Order". Of course, they blew that title off anyway on January 6th and 20th, which is why so many have left that "Party of Ill Repute".

Eh. Bad idea at the start.

Who in their right mind is gonna pay ransom for a worthless governor?

A reasonable person wouldn't claim that a small gaggle
of criminals & their lawyers represent an entire party.
Tis always best to criticize people for cromulent things,
& not to make them up.
