Let's talk Sugar

Thief

I carry three thermoses to work
36oz of coffee

using a small weigh scale I discover I add.....1.1oz of sugar per container

I check my blood with a cheap test as the night shift goes by
typically 95 to 140mg/dl

Not a diabetic but I know people who are, swerve is probably the best replacement with no weird aftertaste like most sugar substitutes and you measure it the same as regular sugar in recipes.

and would you know the chemistry?

Yet.
Don't get me wrong. I don't claim to know how safe these chemicals are.
I just don't trust Dupont or whoever all that much. I sincerely doubt that honest research on the side effects would ever get funded, much less unprofitable results see the light of day.
Tom
yeah.....and it was Dupont that lobbied for the law against marijuana
they had just invented nylon rope
and wanted the mainstay.....hemp.....out of the way

To enjoy a long life simply refrain from sugar
my grandfather ate sugar like an insect

I would watch my grandmother make cherry pie
a HUGE amount of sugar was added to the cherries

later.....gdad would complain....as he added table sugar to the crust
You didn't put enough sugar in the cherries

he walked all the way to 100

I've been chunking down sweet stuff for a long time
and now that I'm 63....maybe a change should take over

if you are diabetic.....what clued you in?
when did you realize the problem?

or did the doctor surprise you?

Okay, lets talk......and don’t call me “sugar”.

more seriously.....
it seems sugar can alter your sense of appetite to the extent that only sugar can ease the urge to eat

I also discovered.....
even if I read the labels and don't buy anything with added sugar
the chemistry of digestion will convert most things into sugar

on a side note......human fat is a molecule of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen

to lose weight....you must convert the molecule into the leser pieces.....namely
carbon dioxide and water

so....you sweat it off
and breath it out

but if you eat sugar......it gets stored as fat
