    You have a misguided view.

It's not about "standing" with the Lord as though your trying to please him like pleasing a boss or a parent.

It's about unconditional love, without worrying "where you stand" in the eye of God.

Wow. Now I feel sorry for your daughter. You do realize that teenagers, even if they are you child, are their own people, right? You do realize that you cannot control everything your child does? They do think for themselves and have their own lives, even if you don't agree with them. I just hope you don't plan to try to control your daughter as much as this statement by you implies.

As for relating to her political career, her daughter's situation has nothing to do with anything.

I think most conservatives are soft spoken humble people - which is why you don't find too many in the media. Perhaps it is time for conservatives to speak up, get out the bumper stickers, and post some “plain” truths.

Psalms 55:21 The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

Right now I honestly feel like we are at war, a civil war. I will be fighting on the side of a smaller government, on the side of freedom, on the side of McCain.

Yes, I am very polarized, I don't like socialist/communist agendas, frankly, it scares the h** out of me to see Americans falling for this Hollywood production.

Alma 46:12 And it came to pass that he rent his coat; and he took a piece thereof, and wrote upon it—In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children...

    you know what's really retarded?

All of the Riots outside the GOP convention. People getting beaten, shot, tear gassed, the city getting trashed.

What happened during the Dem's convention? nothing.

That is because republicans are civil people who don't do things like that.

Civil people don't do what? Protest? We all have the right to be dissenters.

MH, I'm troubled by how the RNC is responding to the protesters, too.

Or maybe because it was the unethical and criminal actions of conservatives that sparked the protests. And perhaps no one protested the Dems because they have a bit more integrity and don't really give people a whole lot of reasons to protest them.

Yes, because we all know gaudy, hillbilly bumper stickers slapped on the back of your station wagon or SUV is the source of profound insight.

I'm not happy with either side and how they do things.

The extremists on both sides are causing everyone problems. It's when extremists get into power that bad thing happen.

I think that the Woman who is the victim should go to the Lord and find out what he would have her do. But i don't think she should be forced to keep it if she did not want to.

I believe that your position is also the position of the church, and mine as well.....Lds will have to do as everyone else should do and vote for whomever they feel would benefit the country most.I will be supporting mccain,i would much prefer that palin was at the TOP of the ticket, but i will respect those who support obama. There is much to dislike about 'both' parties,i feel the dems are 'running the country downhill 'and the reps are 'walking it downhill' ,so with the republicans you wont have so far to go to get going back in the right direction in the future but i understand that many fine, intelligent, people see the world differently then i do.I'm just glad we still have the right to make leadership decisions, even wrong ones.

    how is it not clear?

It's her choice to keep it, but it was not her fault that she was horribly victimized, why should she be forced to keep it?

You didn't answer the question you only restated what you said previously.

    Let me make this clear:

Are you saying it's OK to get an abortion or it's OK to give it up for adoption. In both situations she does not "keep it" and I want you to be clear about which you're advocating for.

I'm not exactly sure how you could ever be certain that who you think the Lord wants you to vote for and who the Lord actually wants you to vote for would be one and the same, especially when whatever position you end up taking on the issue, there will also be just-as-devout and just-as-certain people on the other side.

Unless, of course, you have some special gift to read the mind of the Almighty that nobody else has. Do you?

And when you encounter someone whose faith is just as strong as yours, who has prayed and fasted just as much as you have but has come to a contrary position to yours, do you even consider the possibility that maybe he's the one whose position is inspired?

Why are we all talking about this like there's only two choices?

    Does that count as proselytizing?
