Of what we know,
of what we believe.
There are those amongst us who believe they know the absolute truths.
There are those amongst us who wonder about what is the absolute truth.
We choose to accept preconditioned labels that tend to fractionalize all of us.
We choose the path which seems the straightest of the many,
though not always the most comfortable, or best lighted.
We label those who would differ with our clearly more acceptable choices.
These labels are learned icons of predetermination, forged from past images.
Images often cast upon our minds by those with not sufficient learning.
How dost one know which image is The Image, correctly viewed, absolutely true?
We see those who would cast opposing thoughts as inspired from false beliefs.
Beliefs of discordian teachings, negative to what seems to us as true and honest paths.
We design a simple vision of that which we see not,
mindsets of that which is unknowable.
That which is a distant murmur in the cacaphoney of all that is,
and that which may be.
We all cast the attributes of others in a mold made of our own constraints.
We critique the beliefs, based on the constraints of our own beliefs.
Those who would accept sudden creation of the human form,
cannot see the thinking of any other time factor, any other way, any other possibility.
Those who would recognize the eons of time spent by the all in forming that which is, cannot accept the possibility of a sudden appearance of any form of life.
I've seen it said that it is laughable that suddenly a woman evolves with the knowledge and ability to give birth, sucle and nurture her young through evolution.
With this thinking, I agree.
One must understand that this would be an inconcievable thought, and an impossible occurance.
Those that would not accept the tediously slow process of evolution are too ingrained in their creationist thinking to accept even the remotest thought of an evolving universe.
I admit that the complexities are absolutely overwhelming and unprovable.
I've seen it said that to believe that an omnipotent creator who is unobservable and unknowable could just breath on sand and create man, and from this man, with rib in hand, create this very same woman, to give birth and sucle and nuture her young is idiotic thinking at best, and simplistic escapism at the very least.
With this thinking I agree.
One must realize that this too is an inconcievable thought, and an impossible occurance.
Those who would not accept the process of sudden creation are too ingrained in their feelings of slowly developing, and evolving human spirit to accept even the remotest thought of sudden emergence of anything as complex as a human being.
One commonality rings out from both lines of thought, the suddeness of coming to fruition.
The truth seems to lie in the multiple labels, and the complexity of life,
and in our futile attempts to explain the causes, reasons, and purpose of same.
Was it designed?
Was it by random survival of the fittest?
Was it both?
No matter the thinking, we are here, as is everything in the all that is.
None of us, nor those we spawn and those from them, may ever know the truth.
We have only each other in the present, and in the forseeable future.
In the hidden and awesome secrets of the spirit of the cosmos, we are all ignorant of any truth not spoken of by man. And certainly not knowing of the wonderous magic of the miracle known as woman.
Just some thoughts as I approach the end of this sojourn known as life.
May you all be right in your beliefs, may you all prosper in your goals.
