It turns out that this poll was a very interesting way to measure bias based on ignorance of the subject exposing underlying bias against "Arabs"
To the first question,
"56 percent of Americans think Arabic numerals should be banned from schools, while 29 percent said they should be included in the curriculum. 15 percent had no opinion. Out of those who answered "no," 72 percent were Republican and 40 percent identified as Democrats."

To the second question,
"73 percent of Democrats said no, while 33 percent of Republicans said yes". This is close to about the same number ignoring non-responses since 73 Democratic no is about equal to 67 Republican no. This part of the story is badly written.
