First, I believe in taking the time and making an effort to live in an aesthetically appealing way -- at least in some areas of life -- including when it comes to friendship, affection, love, sex, intimacy.
Next, to me behaving in a thoughtful, sensitive, and considerate manner towards my partners is the necessary and required beginning of an aesthetic approach to "relationships".
Third, I can "do romance" -- at least to a point -- but it's like speaking a second language to me. I'm not entirely at home with it -- I just make it look like I'm at home with it.
Last, no matter what else I try to do, I try to leave my partners as well off -- or better off -- than I found them. That's the bottom line.
