Hey Socialist liberals...want 'immigrants'? Ya got em!

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
The Communist Manifesto states an equal obligation to work. Liberals often oppose such things, which they tend to view as a Conservative measure.
I'm beginning to see a more subtle approach. Now it has gotten to the point where Socialist Democrats are getting more vocal and open, and even publicly admitting their pro- socialist now and it's getting incrementally more obvious as time passes for those astute enough to see it.

Democrats aim to appeal to Middle America with slogan that borrows from Communist China’s

More parallels and comparisons can be made to where the similarities between socialist Democrat policy and communist China are too obvious to be a coincidence anymore.

People were noticing that then, and even more so now than ever to give it a fair pass anymore. I can't ignore that Democrats are socialists and arguably closet communists in light of recent trends and even my own personal experiences in the People's Republic of New York with chairman Andrew Cuomo.

More to the point of your post, I find this rather interesting....

Doesn't matter. I never saw Hillary object to what Bernie stated then and it seems now Bernie is a very popular choice among the Socialist Democrats.
So there weren't many on the Left unhappy with the Dem's choice of Hillary? Or is it they were unhappy with a reason for her other than she being a corporate sycophant?

Trump's doing ya a great favor by filling up your 'Sanctuary' cities and you could show us that wonderful utopian beauty of socialist policies in action. The opportunity of a lifetime!!

Trump played the Dems and it is hilarious. Heck Spartacus is whining that dumping catch/release into Dem cities would make "us" less safe. By "us" he means people like himself not everyone "us". Trump got Dems to expose their own hypocrisy.

He's definitely getting my vote for 2020.

I don't think we had a bulldog president who says when he does something, he will in a long long time.

He's exposing the Socialist Democrat infiltration and and showing that these people simply can't be trusted in anything they have to say nor have they anything to offer for the benefit of the people who live here as Citizens.

This doesn't seem like such a bad idea.

So why — politically — is this happening now? One explanation is that Democrats are trying to rebuild after a devastating election in 2016, which many emerged from thinking the party didn't have a clear message for what it stood for.

If the party nominates a candidate in 2020 who embraces a job guarantee program, Medicare for all and tuition-free or debt-free college, it will send a clear signal that the party has embraced a progressive platform well to the left of where it has been for decades.

Even conservatives supported a "workfare" program that required registering for work or looking for work as a requisite for receiving welfare benefits. As long as people are working for their daily bread, I don't see what there is to complain about.

You keep saying that, it makes little difference due to the fact i have provided numbers to back it up which you appear to ignore
You have not provided numbers that support your claim that 98% of those in the US are immigrants.

You know what doesn't matter? I picked up four or five people over the last couple weeks at the airport, and these people fly in here to find a house here, find a job here, and move here. To California. The state Conservatives love to pretend people are leaving in droves and caravans. More people did move away than move in, overall, but the population is still growing and people from all over America still want to live here and they are still moving here. And throughout the San Joaquin Valley the population has been exploding in cities all along this massive stretch of land.

So, it's hypocrisy to object when you are expected to take in more than your fair share and take them in before their cases are heard and allowed/denied entrance?

Keep in mind I am in Canada. We have immigration laws Trump dreams of. The low class is barred outright beside via sponsorship. (sponsorship places all financial costs on the sponsor not the government) Immigrants are required to have a massive amount of savings in order to pay their own way as immigrants are barred from some social programs completely and up to 5 years after citizenship. Government does not bail out failed immigrants, they get deported. Government does not accept people with just the shirts on their backs.

The general idea here is an immigrant must benefit Canada. Not maybe, could, perhaps, in 10 years, their children, etc, etc. This is an ironic point as nations such as Canada are often used as examples by such liberals. Yet they do not know why Canada has become such an example. They only see the results not the methods. For example the standard of living is high as we do not import the poor which would reduce the standard of living if we did. Which is a problem in the US.

This doesn't apply to refugee claimants and asylum seekers though. They don't have to meet such criteria.

Sure. However refugees have geography to deal with. Canada does not have a border like the US which has fake asylum seekers burdening the system. Refugees that end up in Canada at least had vetting prior to travel.

What fair share? Catch/release has nothing about release location. Beside by using the banner of "sanctuary" Dems opened the door themselves. They reaped what they sowed. Now they are whining about being called out.
