Feelings, IMO, are the feedback system by which the unconscious mind communicates to the conscious self, designed by evolution. So I try to set my feelings aside but it's not really that easy. Hundreds of thousands of years of evolution you're trying to defeat.
Year, stupid feelings, absolutely useless and usually bring only trouble. Or so I thought long ago. The secret is to listen to your feelings and analyse why you have them - and then discard them.
