El Rushbo's last days

Suave

Simulated character
In the final days of El Rushbo's life, do you think he'll grow a conscience on what he's done to America over the last 3 decades?
Or will he go down in silence and not reveal anything?
I personally believe Rush will grow a conscience (of some sort) and is currently dealing with that and how to exit the political scene for good and what his final legacy will be.
I caught Rush the other day mentioning that he "felt he was a failure."
What do you think?

Rush Limbaugh leaves Twitter: Radio host deactivates Twitter account

Rush Limbaugh was a partisan political hack for the G.O.P., he ended up being a Trump cultist member. In my environmentally friendly socialistic opinion, he is now in a better place than broadcasting on the radio propagating Trumpism.

I still miss the feminist & environmental updates from
long ago. Rush sure did light the fuses of the incendiary
element on the left. I recall friends knowing all about how
evil he was....not from listening to him, but from NPR's
campaign against him. Belief without knowing....it made
for great fun.
Yea, I was with Rush from the beginning. Soooooo many years and administrations!

You ever hear of the phrase
De mortuis nihil nisi bonum
Probably not since you have indicated that you do not read books.
That reminds me of an old Norwegian proverb.

“en tåpelig idé er tåpelig på ethvert språk”

LoL! When the Left hears anything contrary to their echo chamber they really do think its a lie. But what we will really miss is lampooning people who take themselves too seriously.
These are some examples of what you jokingly refer to as "lampooning people"...

Opinion | Rush Limbaugh delighted in dividing Americans and prodding us to be our worst selves

In 1990, in the wake of high-profile ACT UP protests, Limbaugh ran a monthlong segment called "AIDS Update," in which he would read the names of people who had died of the disease and play comedy sound effects — as well as lend his enormous platform to baroque urban legends about gay sexual practices.

He also told his overwhelmingly male audience that when it came to rape, "no means yes if you know how to spot it," and he spent days in the late aughts calling women's rights activist Sandra Fluke a "****" for advocating for access to contraception.

No big surprise.

True that he did indeed have more fun than a human being ought to have. What a great and wonderful charmed life to experience with such zeal and positivity.
Westboro Baptist Church says "God hates ****." I guess God will lovingly welcome ***-hating Rush.

And just how was this a foolish idea?
It is foolish to think that death rehabilitates the character of an individual. It is foolish to ignore reality. It is foolish to think something can be gained by whitewashing history.

If you are going to speak, of the living or the dead, speak the truth.

I don't remember that, it would be horrible if it was said in the light portrayed in the article. Its strange that Elton John played his wedding in 2010 and that the two were friends???

Death does not rehabilitates ones character but then again what good does it accomlish to do as @tytlyf did,
I am from an considerably older generation and upbringing that finds those comments distastful.

Now I must add (speaking as someone getting old myself) that age does always bring wisdom, and sometimes the truth is distasteful.

So don’t tell me you found his comments distasteful, frankly I don’t care, Tell me, was what he said true?

Let see what he said that object to. I will edit most of it.

Frist his name was not El Rushbo, second nothing he said was true it was all opinion.
And yes that is my opinion and was my response to him.

Love Rush, been with him from the beginning in the 80's. He's been a tremendous force for good in the face of relentless hatred from the Left.

The Left truly has difficulty understanding people who like America.

You "don't remember" Limbaugh cruelly denigrating homosexuals who died from aids?

You said, "Love Rush, been with him from the beginning in the 80's." It was in the 80's that this occurred:

Fact Check: Did Rush Limbaugh read a list of gay men who died as an "AIDS update"?
"Rush Limbaugh had a radio segment called "AIDS Update" where he'd read out the names of gay people who had died and celebrate with horns and bells.

"Rush Limbaugh mocked Eric Garner's death, Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's disease, Ruth Bader Ginsburg's cancer diagnosis, Kurt Cobain, people who died of AIDS, feminists, Civil Rights activists, and Native Americans. That's his legacy."

I really have to wonder why you, or anyone, would love such a person. I really have to wonder why you, or anyone, would say "He's been a tremendous force for good."

Its strange that Elton John played his wedding in 2010 and that the two were friends???

The two were not friends. Read and learn (Yes, I know that's harder than listening to the radio).
Remembering Elton John's Unexpected Bond with Rush Limbaugh: 'I'm Just Trying to Break Him Down'
As John told The New York Times in 2014: "I've been sober for 24 years now, and one of the best lessons it taught me is to listen. When it comes to people like Rush Limbaugh, or people who might enrage you sometimes, dialogue is the only way. You have to reach out."

I’ve heard Rush mock gay politics but not gay people or AIDS. A lot of gay people are conservative and don’t buy into the Leftist agenda.

I never heard him making fun of gay people dying of AIDS. The corrupt Leftist media isn’t a credible source.

The articles literally quote him. I, personally, recall him mocking gay men by using a stereotypical lispy voice. Real class act.

Conservative gays have to keep silent because of the intolerant Left.

Cool unfalsifiable belief.

Weird, you were a Rush listener? I never heard “lisp”. But his humor did require people not to take themselves too seriously. The Left has been mocking conservatives in every form of media for years. We loved Rush dishing it back to you. That’s likely to be the real issue here.
