The bible declares to be the word of God
It does but lots of other scriptures and religious teachings declare themselves to be the word of God (or gods) too. They can't all be accurate and from the outside, there is nothing to distinguish them not any reason to accept any of them.

You're free to believe whatever you do but you should recognise that to the outsider, your assertions hold no more (or less) water than anyone else's (including all the people who agree with you that the Bible is the word of God but fundamentally disagree with you on the specific interpretations and implications).

Other books written by men do not harmonize and therefore are not truth.
The Bible was definitely written by men. Their names even form some of the chapter titles. You can claim God inspired the Bible but it doesn't support your assertion of direct authorship.

Below you will find that history and archaeology both support the Bible.
Sometimes yes, but sometimes no. Maybe consider getting a subscription of "Bible Archaeology Review", and then you can see the contrast.
