"Destruction of property is not a valid form of protest"

Kangaroo Feathers

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...
No he doesn't. If anyone's property should be destroyed, it's the property of that horrible murderous cop, not the property of random innocent people. The protesters lose all credibility when they target people who have nothing to do with the Floyd murder.
Which gets considerably murkier when all the stories of agents provocateur are taken into account.

ah.....put the law into the hands of the angry public
There are problems with attempts to justify rioting, looting & destruction....
- The drive business from their own communities, eg,
discovering that the good grocery stores are only in suburbs.
- They endure violent reactions from police.
- They destroy the livelihoods of innocent people.
- They lower their property values with blight.
- They lose local employment opportunities.
- Schools suffer loss of tax revenue.

The destruction of property, & assault on others is a dubious tactic.
But the above problems are avoidable.....
- The Boston Tea Party destroyed no real estate,
only products belonging to foreign oppressors.
