    Hey Folks,

Recently have joined and preformed a liturgy with the Anglican Church I attend, and the style of the choir is in chant format. Made unique to Anglican tradition, it's roots run deep into Christianity's past.

I've done several different forms of chant on my journey, and this one hasn't failed to please or to absorb me into the process.

    Funny how breath transcends. :)

Been listening to a lot of it, due in part to my recent doings...
Thought I'd share some here from the Christian Tradition today...

But PLEASE... feel free to add anything that you'd like.

Felt like putting a christian one :D

I loved this chant since I sang it some chunk of years ago in a christian "friendship" gathering in my college or something like that.

I wish you knew spanish, but hopefully some of the feeling will be transmited :) (actually I think I´ll translate it)

Christ's cross is your real answer ..
For this world .. for this time ... fleeing in fear ...

You're the way ... you really are the life ...

    chorus:
I have no fear of freedom! ...
I have no fear, my Lord, of life, I want to give my self! ..
Take my hands my voice and my walk ...
And I lift high the cross shed love ..
To be flag of the youth......
Your holy triumph with my song will be made strong light ....
To see your face Jesus ..
Men with faith ... Brave men who want to continue your walk .... ...........

Seeing you hurt reigning on the cross ...
They sound .... You say my name ... When you hear drums ...
I hear the voices of those men who have haambree ...

    chorus:
I have no fear of freedom! ...
I have no fear, my Lord, of life, I want to give my self! ..
Take my hands my voice and my walk ...
And I lift high the cross shed love ..
To be flag of the youth...
Your holy triumph with my song will be made strong light ....
So they see your face Jesus ..
Men with faith ... Brave men who want to continue your walk .... ...........

Santa Maria acogo me your love .... I ask your prayers fire burns today for your children ....
Pink Virgin Mary .... Hey my cantooo sky! ....

    chorus:
I have no fear of freedom! ...
I have no fear, my Lord, of life, I want to give my self! ..
Take my hands my voice and my walk ...
And I lift high the cross shed love ..
    To be young flag ...
Your holy triumph with my song will be made strong light ....
so they see your face Jesus ..
Men with faith ... Brave men who want to continue your walk .... ...........

Check out the Eastern Orthodox Divine Liturgy. When I was Eastern Orthodox, I found the chants amazing, and I preferred them over Anglican or Catholic chants.

Werd, dyanaprajna... I wan to talk more to you about the Eastern Orthodox times, as in some ways the more I find out about it's theology, the more I see my own thoughts expressed, albeit in a Christo-centric lanuage, and it's interesting to see that in a Christian expression. Its the where I started my spiritual teachings. And is a place I've found myself coming back to more as I learn and grow in my understanding of mystical and contemplative practices. (IE. Theosis)

I like the Anglican Church's theological approach because they go back to all of Christianity's roots for inspiration and aren't scared to go East with it... in fact at times... is MORE east than west in it's theological expression.

Shoot me a PM man :)

I used to chant the prokeimenon and epistles, and the readings prior to Divine Liturgy while people were entering, and during confessions. I was pretty good, if I do say so m'self.
