I remember the first time I heard it from an american lady who was staying in the hotel where I worked, she would only eat Kosher food, so I assumed she was jewish, when she asked for directions to church I asked what denomination, to which she archly replied '' catholic of course'' she then explained that kosher food has secret symbols on it to show that it hasn't been poisoned funny thing is a few years later I had an american man staying in another hotel I worked in who would only eat Halal food for the same reason :biglaugh:

I am sure you believe what you are saying very strongly, however I do not see much in the way of healthy skepticism and self rationalisation, but rather a dogmatic regurgitation of what someone else has said. Critical thinking allowed Copernicus to challenge similar ideologies back in the 15th century. Your discussions reminds me of the arguments of the catholic church in their charges against Galileo (guess who was right). Given another 500 odd years your society will evolve to where the west is today, be patient and all your questions will be answered.

Negating psuedo psychological con jobs, the fact that often the elder women of a tribe knew much about herbs and their properties, that real medicine and science developed , something religion could never do. Whilst certain combinations of these herbs can be lethal, they often have profound psychotropic activity also, flying on broom sticks, visions of angels and devils, appreciation of the natural world. Atropine from Belladonna is used daily in every major hospital in the world. Datura gives use Hyoscine, anti diarrhea and motion sickness cure, Ergot gives us ergotamine, to treat migraines and post-partum bleeding but also LSD-25, certain vines of south america give us d-tubocurarine.

I would say your black magic and jins have saved more lives than any religion (which tends at times to leave millions dead). So I see no problem with your dreaded enemy of man, in fact I believe much more can be learnt through free thinking and real world phenomena represented with black magic, wiccan style ideas than could ever be gained from dated god myths.

It is my opinion that heaven and hell, good and evil, god and satan exist only in the the minds of some, not in the external real world universe that quite frankly doesn't give ***** what we as humans think or do.
