As much as I would like to talk about slavery and the African Diaspora, my mentioning of the colonial European propagation of slavery is largely done to connect its influences here and how it affects marginalized groups here, a group to which I belong.

Focusing on slavery as practiced by European Christians and its evils doesn't require one to offer up apologetics for slavery in the Islamic world though.
