What was evil doing in paradise?
I don’t think Bible tells the garden was a paradise, but if we are speaking of the garden of Eden, and about the serpent, it was obviously in there deceiving people.

What was evil doing in paradise?
the serpent is referred to as cunning. cunning, or wise, isn't usually seen as evil. the serpent wasn't called satan either. jesus was crafty too. in him it's seen as a positive quality. behold i come like a thief."What was evil ( Satan ) doing in paradise?
this is another instance of the separation of god and self. that isn't oneness. that is duality. To see whether Adam and Eve would obey God or obey Satan.
it doesn't say that god could have destroyed the serpent. you've interjected something that isn't there. obviously that serpent was afraid of those gods and what they forbade.God could haved destroyed Satan right from the start, But rather than God doing that.
God did not want his creation coming to him out of fear of being destroyed themselves.
being naive, the two wouldn't have known themselves fully because of the illusion of duality. most see contrast as conflict. few see it as defining the other, or catalyzing the other, or potentially the others actual, like yin and yang.So God letting Satan play out his work of evilness, So that God's creation can see for themselves, What the evilness of Satan will bring for them.
And to know the difference between evil and good, with out good, how would people know what good is, and without evil, how would people know what evil is.

Maybe than you should read the book of Revelation 12:9--"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan"
That old serpent is the very serpent which was in the garden of Eden. Which is called the Devil and Satan.
Seeing also you have no idea why Jesus said he would like a thief in the night.
That's because a thief will come at night, when no one is expecting them. So Jesus is coming in like manner, when no one is expecting him.

I said God could haved destroyed Satan if had wanted too.

ever heard of the shekinah?
the shekinah is cast down to earth; where transformation takes place..they rejoice in heaven when this happens but the inhabitants of earth tremble in fear because of their darkness, ignorance.
Revelation 12:12
Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Had you back to Revelation 12:9, You would found out the Devil is the serpent and Satan.
Seeing that you posted Revelation 12:12, Have you any idea or clue, as to what the sea represents in the book of Revelation.
allow me to introduce you to this serpent again
Job 25:6
How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
Do you have any idea, What Job 25:6 is referring to, seeing that you have no idea or clue.
Mark 9:8
where "'the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched.'
You're taking it too literally. It is a symbolic story. What was evil doing in paradise?
Actually there are about 100 generations between the cross and now so there are about 100 interpolation editions. Sort of like having to read the library of congress to theoretically "understand the bible" nonsense that theology can be. Like "dylan experts". Ha...Have you checked the 'Christian Interpolation Dictionary, 3rd Ed.?'
Isn't that to be Christian? Lol.. I thought that itself was primary, .. cherry pick reality to fits one's opinion!!!Do you have any idea or clue, what
Mark 9:8 is referring to. All you do is post things, but have no idea or clue what's being said or done.
All you do is Nick pick Verses, But have no idea or clue, what's actually is being said.
Which show your misunderstanding of the bible.
Yes there is a paradise. It's a mental health facility for urban suburban dwellers. The check them selves in on the weekend. It's called the oregon coast. I live there permanently just because well I need more of it than most!!!Maybe there's no such thing as paradise. It's like picking a house or hotel based on the pictures on the website and then getting there you realize it's a hot mess.
Wasn't Eden next to some major rivers? That's hardly "desert".
Ever seen pics of the Nile? There are thick green bands on either side of plants and stuff. Desert ecologies don't apply.
I mean, if you want a miracle, Eden should've been in the Sahara or something without a drop of rain. THEN I'd be impressed.
It never happened. Adam and Eve got an upgrade and God got angry and kicked them out. It's a story about two kids growing up.

Every religion and spiritual path has difficulty explaining how a good God allowed (or even created) evil. Some answer the problem by saying evil is an illusion or that evil is actually good if you just view it correctly. And some invent fictional stories. What was evil doing in paradise?

i believe you mean nit pick.
a single verse can hold a lot of information; especially when parts are ignored regarding tense of the verb.
fyi, jesus cherry picked too. no one eats every cherry on a tree, no does one even eat a whole bowl of cherries. one might eat a handful. one might harvest the whole tree for some other.
here is a cherry that jesus picked from the tree that is full of the spirit
Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are "gods"'?
jesus cherry picked verses through out the torah and other books from the OT that were pertinent to the conversation at hand. But that verse may not be what you thinking it is.
If you back up to the beginning of the chapter and find out what the subject and Article is about, then go from there.
Haven't you ever done a book report, by finding out what the Subject and Article is about first.
I guess you just pick out one verse in doing a book report, and that's all.
In any books, first you find out what the subject and Article is about first.
Then that leads you to know exactly what the chapter is about.
I live in Astoria very nice but wet!!!!!I live in the Oregon mountains but my wife and I have our eye on the coast.

he quoted single verses from isaiah; such as............
In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: "'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.
