A brief history of the far right in America

Ponder This

The right wing is authoritarian--that's what defines it. Note there is a difference between the far right being discussed here and the moderate right.

 How do you define right-wing?

Right-wing:
the conservative or reactionary section of a political party or system.
Left-wing:
the liberal, socialist, or radical section of a political party or system.
Authoritarian:
favoring or enforcing strict obedience to authority, especially that of the government, at the expense of personal freedom.

So, for example, when Biden says he wants governors to make mask-wearing mandatory for all people in their states, that is an example of authoritarianism: strict obedience to the government at the expense of personal freedom.

Or perhaps you don't understand it.
When something is real, calling it a "myth"
does not make it so, eg, the myth of evolution.
Affirmative action was more than racial preference;
it was in many cases a quota system, eg, Ford
Motor Co, University of Michigan.
As I said, and you have now confirmed, you don't understand the use of the term myth in how it is being used. A mythology is a collection of symbols that people hang onto that represents some idea, or ideals, or identification. The myth of reverse-racism is manufacture image of what is going on, that is independent from serious security. It acts as a focal point of ones values.

It's not the same thing as saying "the lie". It may have some facts, as well as fabrications. This is what I understand of myths, and what I can say the author of that article in the Atlantic meant by its usage. It was not saying "The Lie of Reverse Racism". That's not at all how I read that.

Mythologies (book) - Wikipedia.

With that stumbling block word for you out of the way, you might get something out of reading the article.

Here's another perspective of the Christian Right in America. From over the pond in Germany. This is a documentary for German people on America.

I watched this. The tone of the piece is derisive, to say the least. I would have thought that being a European news service, it would have been more neutral.

Your understanding is so sophisticated that you
can claim discriminating based on race isn't racism,
& that reality is myth.
Next?...up is down....left is right....dumb is smart?

In matters of language, if everyone is wrong but for one
person, that makes everyone right but that one person wrong.
It's about common usage....not personal definitions.

This isn't about language, but about political perceptions.
