I think it's pretty dishonest.

I don't live in US, so I can't speak for US, but as for Holland I have proof that Dutch death numbers have been fabricated and are totally unreliable

Not only Canada. Germany has gone from poster child to bad. We are failing hard at vaccination.
And if it's not the state that somehow utterly failed to seal off an island, it's the people like they are here (specifically in California where the state at least tried) who behaves selfishly destructive and selfishly self destructive all in the name of "individual liberties."
Locked down, but coming out of it, step by cautious step. We in the UK are doing better now than many of those countries that have not - largely because of (uncharacteristically) good planning on vaccine supply and, very importantly I think, a high level of trust in the vaccines, due to the faith the British have in the National Health Service.
I am from Sweden and Switzerland. The first very open, the second fairly open. Doing as good, at least, as other countries that imprisoned their citizens.
Here in Michigan we have been more closed than most other states, and that has been a good thing overall. Problem is that now the UK variance of covid is running rampant as it is much more contagious and somewhat more deadly than the original strain that came here from Italy. Our Canadian neighbor, Ontario, is running across the same thing, and they now are in an in-place lockdown for at least April.
And yet you're doing better than the EU countries.
For what it's worth, Amsterdam is one of my favorite places on Earth.
