I do.

Now what?
So you agree with this "vision" proposed by that organization?

And you agree with the president of Greater New York Black Lives Matter, Hawk Newsome when he said,

“If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it. All right? And I could be speaking figuratively. I could be speaking literally. It’s a matter of interpretation."

I do agree broadly with those goals, yes. That particular quote, if literal, no I don't.

What are you talking about? There's nothing racist in that vision that I can see.
Whoever wrote this demands that a particular race receive preferential treatment.

An immunity from consequence for committing crimes (incarceration) based solely on their race.

Financial aid afforded to members of the community based solely on their race.

The divestment of public and private property and assets to be given to communities based solely on their race.

Ensuring that communities have collective ownership based solely on their race.

No more local, State, Federal government overseeing the communities of their choice (assuming based on race since everything else is)

Independent Black political power.

They basically want their own country within our country - membership of which is based on race.

Ditto for counter-protestors.

And police attacking peaceful protestors is not self-defense, either.
Agreed - no one should be burning down anything and no one should be attacking peaceful protestors.

Unfortunately - BLM and ANTIFA and that lot are the ones burning stuff down which makes their protests not peaceful - but riots.

Incorrect.

Incorrect. They're talking about the disproportionate way that black people are incarcerated, particularly when it comes to drug related crimes (despite using drugs at the same or lower rates as white folks).

Financial aid afforded to members of the community based solely on their race.

Their community has been the target of systemic discrimination - based solely on their race. Thus they seek to remedy that.

The divestment of public and private property and assets to be given to communities based solely on their race.

Black people have been systemically prevented from the procurement of property and assets, based solely on their race. They seek to remedy that through community investment in predominantly black neighborhoods (ask yourself why, historically, do we have black neighborhoods?).

Ensuring that communities have collective ownership based solely on their race.

All communities should have collective ownership if that's what they want. This goal just specifies the desire for that by black people.

No more local, State, Federal government overseeing the communities of their choice (assuming based on race since everything else is)

That is not what it says at all. What iy's advocating is simply democratic self-determination in the composition and operation of their government. That should be the case everywhere, for all people. You're against people having the right to determine the makeup of their own government? You're American, aren't you?

Independent Black political power.

Gasp!

They basically want their own country within our country - membership of which is based on race.

No. What they want is for this country to be changed to reflect their interests and values. Which all people want. Again, what kind of person would be against such an obviously just idea?

That is not the case for the vast majority of such protests. Most protests are peaceful and involve no burning things down.

I forget which university study it was, but they concluded in their research of recent American protests dealing with race that 93% were basically non-violent.

We should always remember that if a protest goes violent it will almost always make the national news, thus creating a distortion that this is commonplace.

Exactly. Media covers stories that are sensational. A peaceful protest isn't terribly interesting.
