Answer: How about machines?
If it could be done by machines at the same cost or less then it would be done by machines, but in as much as it isn't done by machines means the cost of harvesting vegetables would be higher. So, if illegal alien pickers are replaced by machines plan on paying more.Answer: How about machines?

Actually it has already happened. American agriculture is already highly mechanized and not based on manual labor, with a few exceptions. Some delicate fruits and difficult to pick nuts are harvested by hand. But most crops aren’t. And even this few that are hand picked are picked by legal residents more than illegal aliens. And most of those few crops still being harvested by hand will soon be harvested by machines. In short, it already is being done by machines. If it could be done by machines at the same cost or less then it would be done by machines, but in as much as it isn't done by machines means the cost of harvesting vegetables would be higher. No, although I suppose I could have phrased it better---that's what I get for dashing off an answer without paying enough attention to it.???....did you mean that ( harvesting of crops ) could be done by illegal aliens at the same cost or less than it would be done by machines?
No, although I suppose I could have phrased it better---that's what I get for dashing off an answer without paying enough attention to it.
My point is that illegal aliens are used instead of machines because they're cheaper. If machines could do the job at the same cost or less then that's what farmers would use---although if the cost is the same who knows which of the two the farmer would opt for. In any case, as it stands if farmers started using machines instead of illegal aliens its almost a certainty the price we pay for the produce would rise.

Answer: How about machines?
In the long run, no. Illegals cost the public and a variety of ways.If it could be done by machines at the same cost or less then it would be done by machines, but in as much as it isn't done by machines means the cost of harvesting vegetables would be higher. So, if illegal alien pickers are replaced by machines plan on paying more.

Why can't (insert complaining ethnic demographic on the far right) apply for these jobs and pick fruit, or mow their own lawns, or apply for house keeping? Or do landscaping and climb skyscraper s to clean windows, or work construction or post up outside home Depot to help with housing construction?
I'm asking for a Latino friend....
People of shorter stature are better suited for some types of jobs.
Fact remains without cheap labor your store bought apple cost .50 cent instead of $2
Of course you'd come out with some blatantly racist bull****. Sickening. That was actually an argument used in favor of enslaving black people, if you don't know.People of shorter, smaller stature are better suited than taller, heavier persons for doing some types of jobs. Also, well-pigmented dark skinned people are better suited than fair-skinned persons for doing outdoor jobs.

Maybe not, which is despicable, but I still reported it.Sad part here is I'm not even mad about it because stuff like this won't get admonished. It's all good.

I was neither arguing in favor of racism nor slavery, it just happens to be a fact that a fair skinned person like me working outside all day would be more likely to get sun-burned or skin-cancer than the likelihood of a dark skinned person getting sunburned or skin cancer from working all day outside exposed to the sun.
I'm not interested in your justifications. It's a pattern with you. You are a racist, going by this and all the other stuff you've said. We have sunblock now, so there's no excuses. White people had no problem tending their own crops for thousands of years beforehand so that's a stupid thing to say.I was neither arguing in favor of racism nor slavery, it just happens to be a fact that a fair skinned person like me working outside all day would be more likely to get sun-burned or skin-cancer than the likelihood of a dark skinned person getting sunburned or skin cancer from working all day outside exposed to the sun.
Hopefully they are not using that phrase in their advertising:I do love taco Tuesdays....$1 per taco at El Taco Veloz.
