What gives? I went to the Discuss Individual Religions section, and it told me "DIRs are forums intended to be used by members of specific groups only. In order to post within the DIRs, we now ask that you select DIRs that you belong to by visiting your account details. Please do not select more than two or three DIRs." Sure, fine. After looking around at religions I actually identify with, I concluded about three of them I understand Abrahamic religion, Non-Revealed, and Pantheism. When I went to the section again, I was told "You Have Insufficient Privileges To Post Here." I'm not sure if it's a deal where I have to wait awhile, post more and prove I'm not a spambot (I'm really not, honest (but maybe that's just what a spambot would want you to believe)), pay for premium services, or what. Maybe I need to do a secret handshake?

That's actually a good thing......it keeps people from posting argumentative posts in an area reserved for like-minded people. It use to be that you could post anywhere. I made the mistake several times of posting in a directory where I should have not and the admins slapped my hand. It just happens sometimes when you get caught up on a topic and you don't pay attention to where the thread is posted.
Probably for the best. Last time was fun, but the nightmares just don't quit.

One last question. Supposing I want to remove a DIR (I don't get along with that section or don't like there, and don't want to get tempted in there), what happens to the previous posts?

It takes up to an hour for the software to process the change. It appears you selected the New Religious Movements DIR, and you should not be able to participate.
