Because knowledge about God is not staring us in the face. The only way to get any knowledge about God is to read the holy books.

You imagine what you see in the world are God's actions, but they are only the natural processes of life unfolding in the natural world. They have nothing to do with God. All we can see in this world are natural processes and man's actions. God is seated on His Throne in the Kingdom of Heaven, wholly independent of His creatures.
Has Religion and Mankind corrupted your thinking? Is God really on a Throne, Ruling and Controlling? Is this really High Intelligence??? Isn't this what mankind values and wants?

You can tell much about a person through understanding their choices and actions. God's creation surrounds us all. Understand this and you will understand God. Unlike holy books, God's actions can not be altered by mankind.

Does this world add up to you? Ask yourself, Why would God create a mess? You look at the world and see a Mess. I look at the world and see a Masterpiece!! Would God create a mess or a Masterpiece??? What would you create if you were God?

Are you missing something? Should one get all their knowledge about God from holy books written by mankind? Are you making choices you do not realize you are making? Are you choosing Easy?

Do you ask a million questions? To question is the start on the journey to Discovery. If one is at the point of just accepting, hasn't the learning and Discovering stopped?

There is much to consider in every choice one makes. Each chooses their journey through their choices. I choose to walk toward the Knowledge and Intellect which is God. I could not find these things in holy books.

That's what I see. It's very clear!!

The Goal of mankind is for Peace and to have it made. Is this God's Goal???? Not on your life!!! On the other hand, mankind wanting to have it made and have peace is a force that does help keep things moving forward..................
Yes, the majority of people want peace, so why isn't there more peace on earth_________
Some think of the United Nations as being in place as a force for peace.
With backing they think the U.N. can be strengthened to become such a force in man's eyes.
MAN's l-o-n-g history has shown that MAN has dominated MAN to MAN's hurt, MAN's injury.
Peace on Earth is God's goal, God's purpose is global peace.
That is why Jesus, as King of God's kingdom government, will be the one who will usher in global Peace on Earth.
The ' sword-like executional words from Jesus' mouth ' will rid the earth of wickedness. (Isaiah 11: 3-4; Rev. 19:14-15)

Oh, no. Not that! :tearsofjoy:
Why not that?
What on Earth makes you think that I would have to "concede" that?
You don't have to concede to that. You can be illogical if you want to.
WHat makes you think that is not already a position that I hold on that hypothetical god?
I don't know if you hold that position. I only know what I read here and from what I read here I see no indication that you hold that position.
But we can straighten this out right now if you will answer my question.
Do you think that God also bears some responsibility for all the goodness in this world since God placed humans in a situation where goodness was foreseeable?

that does help keep things moving forward --- UNTIL ?
This is a multilevel classroom. There will be those who will choose other than peace. On the other hand, in time, they too will long for Peace.

There can be no real peace until all the lessons are learned. Of course, there are also those new students arriving with their lessons to learn.

Ah yes, Multiple Levels with Multiple Views. It is Truly a Masterpiece!!

That's what I see. It's very clear!!

I have to admit suffering is my primary issue with God. I still believe God exists but I can't believe He is loving. :(
Suffering was also an issue regarding Satan.
That is why Satan challenged the man Job at Job 2:4-5.
By way of extension Satan challenges all of us.
' Touch our flesh.....' ( loose physical health ) and we would Not serve God under adverse conditions.
Both Job and Jesus under suffering conditions proved Satan a liar and so can we.

There is a reason why we are all invited to pray the invitation to God for Jesus to come ! - Rev. 22:20
Jesus to come and bring ' healing ' to earth's nations - Rev. 22:2
Healing to the point that No one will say, " I am sick...." - Isaiah 33:24
Earth and its people will be happy and healthy as described in Isaiah 35th chapter.
Jesus will bring an end to eneny ' death ' on Earth - 1st Corinthians 15:24-26; Isaiah 25:8

That's largely irrelevant. Even in God did not cause the action, he is still a cause of the result. Just like the party host and his friend with alcohol problems are both causes of the drunken violence. Causes...Effects
No, God is not the cause of anything. Man's free will choices are the cause of everything that happens on earth.

No, it is not just like the party host and his friend with alcohol problems are both causes of the drunken violence. All of those people made choices which led to the result, but God made no choices that led to anything bad happening in this world. The only choice God made was to send Messengers, resulted in everything good that has happened in this world.

Thats the question that you should have asked, rather than assuming a position for me. Thanks for adjusting. The subbordinate clause should have been whacked off the end. Suppose the answer was yes, but not because of the reason you implied?

What you should have asked is simply, Do you think that God also bears some responsibility for all the goodness in this world?
To which my answer is, Under the hypthetical of an omni-god, yes.

There will not be peace until all the lessons are learned. Of course, then there are the new students arriving with their lessons to learn. At this level of understanding, there is a Long way to go before those students will be able to create a Heavenly state for themselves and others. The good news is that there is no time limit on learning. Each will make it in time. There is much to Learn, but we do have eternity to get there. I do think a Hungry student advances much quicker. I strive to be that Hungry student!!

That's what I see. It's very clear!!

In Scripture God created the angels and then created humans.
So, God is the cause of angelic and human creation.
God gifted everyone in heaven and on earth will free-will choices.
Satan's free-will choice is that he freely choose sin, disobey God, was by Satan's own choice.
Adam and Eve also has the free-will choice to obey or disobey.

Unlike the party host with a friend with alcohol problems, God did Not create angels or humans with alcohol problems.
Angels and Adam and Eve started out with healthy angelic perfection for angels and healthy human perfection with Adam and Eve.
So, free-will disobedience is the cause, the result.
The 'effect' of chosen disobedience is the 'cause' of the world's news today.

Yes, one must be Hungry - hungry student for mental spiritual food -aka Scripture.
Yes, one must be Honest - Not lying to oneself or others
Yes, one must be Humble - humble because it is the humble meek people who will inherit the Earth as promised at Matt. 5:5; Psalms 37:9-11; 22:26

The Bible's God is Not omni because there are things God can Not do.
God can Not lie - Titus 1:2

So what if God had foreknowledge? Foreknowledge does not cause anything to happen. There is no logical connection whatsoever.
...............................................................................................................................................................................................
God is not responsible to anyone. He doeth whatsoever He willeth at His own behest.
That is what being all-powerful means! It doesn't mean God hops to the demands of humans.
God's gift of free-will choices places responsibility on the receiver of the gift - both angels and humans.
Also, the Bible's God is Not all powerful because God can Not lie - Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18

Has Religion and Mankind corrupted your thinking? Is God really on a Throne, Ruling and Controlling? Is this really High Intelligence??? Isn't this what mankind values and wants?
God is not literally sitting on a Throne. Sitting on a Throne is just symbolic for God's Sovereignty.
God is not Controlling anyone. God gave man free will to make his own choices.
God Ruling and Controlling is not what mankind values and wants. Mankind wants to do what they want to do.
You can tell much about a person through understanding their choices and actions. God's creation surrounds us all. Understand this and you will understand God. Unlike holy books, God's actions can not be altered by mankind.
It is true that God's attributes are reflected in His creation, that is a Baha'i belief, but you don't know God's actions and choices by looking at His creation.
God's actions are altered only by God. If man alters the holy books they are no longer holy.
Does this world add up to you? Ask yourself, Why would God create a mess? You look at the world and see a Mess. I look at the world and see a Masterpiece!! Would God create a mess or a Masterpiece??? What would you create if you were God?
What you see is according to your perception and the same applies to me. You see a Masterpiece because you believe the world is a Masterpiece. I see God's Masterpiece and the mess man has made out of the Masterpiece.
Are you missing something? Should one get all their knowledge about God from holy books written by mankind? Are you making choices you do not realize you are making? Are you choosing Easy?
I get my knowledge 'about God' from the Holy Books because that is where it is. There is nothing Easy about it.
Do you ask a million questions? To question is the start on the journey to Discovery. If one is at the point of just accepting, hasn't the learning and Discovering stopped?
Learning and Discovering does not stop just because people read holy books and accept what is written in them. There is always more to be Discovered and that is Discovered by living life and learning through experiences, not by reading books.
There is much to consider in every choice one makes. Each chooses their journey through their choices. I choose to walk toward the Knowledge and Intellect which is God. I could not find these things in holy books.
No, everything we need to Know is not contained in books, be they holy books or any other books. We need to live and make choices in order to learn. That is the purpose of this earthly existence. I have learned quite a few hard lessons and I am sure more are on their way.

That's what I see. It's very clear!!

I agree. I believe that Baha'u'llah ushered in the age of peace but man has to learn his lessons and create peace before we will see peace on Earth.

Let's consider a situation where one organizes a party at their house and invites a friend who has a history of alcohol abuse and violent behavior when intoxicated. Despite being aware of this friend's past actions, one provides them with unlimited access to alcohol during the party. Later in the evening, the friend becomes heavily intoxicated and gets into a physical altercation with another guest, resulting in injuries.

In this scenario, one could bear some responsibility for their friend's actions because they knowingly placed them in a situation where harm was foreseeable. By providing them with alcohol despite knowing their history, they created conditions that increased the likelihood of the negative outcome. It's essential to be mindful of the potential consequences of our actions and decisions, especially when they involve the safety and well-being of others.
Yet, if someone invites you to a party at their home and informs you of there will be alcohol and you have a history or issue with that; don’t go. When you go to someone’s home or you rent an Airbnb there are house rules you are required and responsible to follow. When one breaks those rules they are responsible for their own actions and lawlessness. God has given plenty of instruction and warnings concerning drunkenness, as well as other wrong actions and behaviors. So the responsibility is upon those who refuse to heed and follow the rules.

Peace on Earth is God's goal, God's purpose is global peace.
That is why Jesus, as King of God's kingdom government, will be the one who will usher in global Peace on Earth.
Jesus said His work was finished here and He was no more in the world. The mission of Jesus, what God gave Him to do, was OVER when He left the world.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

There is nothing in the Bible that supports the belief that Jesus will be the King of God's kingdom government.
Jesus never claimed to be a King. He disclaimed it whan asked. and Jesus never said he was coming to rule.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

John 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

These two verses in John 18 completely negate that Jesus is the King of this world or that Jesus will ever come to this world to rule it, and they fit perfectly together with John 17:4 and John 17:11. Jesus came into this world to bear witness unto the truth about God. He did that so there is no more reason for Jesus to come back to this world again. That is why Jesus said I am no more in the world.”

And no, there are no verses in the Bible that say that Jesus is going to rule the Earth from Heaven.

Suffering was also an issue regarding Satan.
That is why Satan challenged the man Job at Job 2:4-5.
By way of extension Satan challenges all of us.
Baha'is do not believe that there is an entity called Satan. We believe that Satan as refereed to in the Bible is an allegory for the lower material nature of man, the evil ego within man.

“God is loving to all. Shall we be unjust or unkind to anyone? Is this allowable in the sight of God? God provides for all. Is it befitting for us to prevent the flow of His merciful provisions for mankind? God has created all in His image and likeness. Shall we manifest hatred for His creatures and servants? This would be contrary to the will of God and according to the will of Satan, by which we mean the natural inclinations of the lower nature. This lower nature in man is symbolized as Satan—the evil ego within us, not an evil personality outside.”
The Promulgation of Universal Peace, pp. 286-287

“The reality underlying this question is that the evil spirit, Satan or whatever is interpreted as evil, refers to the lower nature in man. This baser nature is symbolized in various ways. In man there are two expressions, one is the expression of nature, the other the expression of the spiritual realm…. God has never created an evil spirit; all such ideas and nomenclature are symbols expressing the mere human or earthly nature of man. It is an essential condition of the soil of earth that thorns, weeds and fruitless trees may grow from it. Relatively speaking, this is evil; it is simply the lower state and baser product of nature.“
Abdu’l-Baha, Promulgation of Universal Peace, pp. 294–295
