Emotional choices, do not seem to fit within a scientific frame work of observe, hypothesis, test, review, adjust, re-test, etc...
For example, in my household, we're trying to make a very difficult decision, and it really boils down to "what do we want?" And figuring that out among competing priorities is not as simple as comparing data, and past experiences.

For these questions. I would say the method of experience. Experiential evidence will answer the question better than than science could.

Depends on the question, obviously. (Do I actually need to say this?
)For questions about nature, i.e. the physical world, then science is the right tool. If it is about the arts or humanities, law or religion, then science is in most cases the wrong tool.
You can't fix everything with just a spanner.
Sure there exits many possible ways to answer that question. Flipping a coin would be one way.
How about if you had a plethora of facts and information you could analyze to base your decision on? Science is the process of gathering facts and information you can use to base your decision on.
