Cat food shortage

an anarchist

Your local anarchist.
There's a cat food shortage going around.

That means waking up early and rushing to the stores and hoping there is still some left.

Anyone else affected by this? :(

Our cat used to eat even sprouts, if they were left on the bottom deck of the trolley. Anything forbidden must be good - the oldest story of all.......

I have a cat that won't touch vegetables, unless I'm chopping them, and then he tries to steal them off the cutting board, to show me that he's starving.

The McSquatSquat brothers like vegetables a lot, too. Lamar prefers leafy greens and cabbage, while Swatty loves potatoes.

Some catfoods are stort in France, Whiskas and Felix. No problems with others

Before the invention of fast food for animals, they ate real food and they were happy. Give the cat some fish or meat leftovers (not seasoned or with sauce) and the cat will be delighted. You can also buy cheap cuts in the supermarket and freeze them so you'll never be caught offhand.

One of ours loves chicken. He's now got an association between shopping bags coming into the house and there being impending chicken. You've never seen a cat so interested in bags :p

Don't know anything about cats, but can't they just eat dog food? the "wet" kind of stuff.

Its not ideal. There isn't the right nutrient blend, and I've found it wreaks havoc on their urinary system.

We sometimes struggle with the indoor/outdoor cats finding their way onto the front porch and into the dog food. It doesn't usually go well.
