It was a target on the day of the incident. It is likely that one of the surface-to-air defensive missiles aimed at the incoming Russian ordnance missed its target and crashed over the border...

Defending a country from an unprovoked invasion and defending civilians from war crimes isn't "war mongering". It's funny to hear conservatives pretending to care about the poor, considering they always whine when money is spent on programs that aid them. What sort of negotiations would you propose that wouldn't include Russia stealing land and subjugating people? Also, giving into nuclear blackmail to allow a terrorist state to act with impunity sets a really back precedent.

Equating an aggressor committing war crimes with a country defending itself is fundamentally flawed logic that often enables the aggression, whether intentionally or not.

It's easy for people not experiencing the atrocities carried out by Putin's forces to theorize about various conspiracies or equate "both sides" despite the discrepancy in motives and military power. You're not at risk of being killed or tortured by invading forces, nor is your land seized by them.

I don’t support Putin, but before this war broke out the Ukrainian state was known for its corruption and bro- Nazis brutality. How is it that overnight it has become a good “democracy” and its victims forgotten?
