Like different translations of the Bible has the Book Of Mormon ever been changed?
There have been some revisions since its first printing, yes. I have a copy of that first printing and I can check a random verse to see if it is much different or not at all different.

Wait, I forgot there are no verses, only chapter references, in the first printing of the Book of Mormon. Verse numbers were added later...

Lets look at the first chapter of 3 Nephi in the Book of Mormon and compare.

Joseph Smith prepared fourteen Articles of Faith. Where can I discover a listing of these Articles of Faith?

ahem.... (they can be found by clicking the link in my signature also)

Just read the first 4 verses of 3 Nephi and the only difference was the word "which" was substituted for the word "who" so as to be more grammatically correct in the current latest edition of the Book of Mormon.

Where does Joseph Smith fit in regards to Mormon belief?
For example I know that he translated the Book Of Mormon but when it came to prophesying did his prophesies take precedence over the Book Of Mormon or other published documents?

Did Joseph Smith foretell any prophesies for the future generations of Mormons and where can I refer to them?

Did any of Joseph Smith’s prophesies ever fail to come to pass?

I apologize if these questions have already been asked but if there are any links you can direct me to I greatly appreciate it.

We see him as a prophet, similar to Moses, who was called by God to bring about the restoration.

Most of what would be considered "prophesies" by Joseph Smith are contained in the Doctrine and Covenants. We see these scriptures are equal to our other books of scripture.

Check out the link I posted above.

Depends on who you ask. I've never seen one, but I have seen people twist his words around and claim that a prophesy of his has failed to come to pass.

You might be interested in this website that the church created a few years back for his 200th birthday: JosephSmith.net

If a tree falls on a mormon in the woods, and nobody else is around, does that mormon make noise? I have always wondered this.

It depends.

If the tree hits the mormon in the head first, the mormon will likely not make a sound. However if the tree strikes the mormon across the legs you can bet that mormon will make a lot of noise.

actually, in the first scenario, there would probably be a considerable squishing sound made by the mormon...

In the lineage of the Prophet Joseph Smith, are there any children that are active members in the church today? If so, is there any extra "recognition" that they receive because of their parental heritage?

Most of Joseph Smith's family is in the Reorganized CofJCofLDS, known as the Community of Christ today.

There are a few, however, that have left the Community of Christ and become LDS. But to address Cardero's question, no, Joseph Smith's descendents are not given any special recognition. Brigham Young, on the other hand, has numerous LDS descendants, and while the Church doesn't recognize them as anybody special, they sure do like to point out to everybody who they are. :D

Methinks we have a decendant of Hyrum Smith here on the forums. :D

After reading the Wikipedia overview of the Community Of Christ I can’t help but walking away with a feeling of redundancy. Please excuse my naivety, I am sure the proper authorities have already considered this and I am sure that there is tolerance between the two sects but are the beliefs so significantly different that the two churches couldn’t reconcile? .

Really? I thought in Utah it would be more rare that one is not a descendant of BY...:biglaugh:

Our beliefs are actually very different now. Of course, we would welcome them all into our church... (the true one) :p
