Bible, the foundational book of books?

The Bible didn't speak to the masses of people, because the masses of people couldn't read.

It was the priests of the Christian Churches who spoke to the masses of people.

This is true, to a certain extent. However, you’re forgetting the fact that with the exception of Catholic Bibles, the languages in which the Bible were written in or translated into were so in order to give people who had the ability to read accessibility.

No the actual story was from Manu of the Hindu scriptures of course. They circulated it elsewhere once humans repopulated the earth from Indus Valley after the flood...

:) And there we have it... all have the same story because it did happen :)

The point is that faith based claims on originality can be made by any religion. Bible's claim as the original message has no priority over similar claims from Mesopotamian, Hindu or Chinese religious traditions. And from the pov of history, without independent documentary or archaelogical corroboration, none of the claims can be accepted as true.

Nope. “All have it” because mythic metaphor is nearly universal among religions, and because all religions borrow from one another.

Jorden Peterson presents an interesting idea about how the Bible (a sort of library on its own) was the first “book” which is really a foundation to other books.

I think he’s correct in his observation but I see the positive aspects of the Bible’s influence as well as the negative.

Thoughts?

While I like a lot of his insights into psychology I often find his Biblical views less then helpful. He seems to see it entirely as a metaphor which I don’t buy.

RS: ask what are your thoughts about (Zera) in Gen. 17:8 is Zera seed a documentary or archaeological corroboration even if one can't see it? It has structure., memory of what? It causes history?

@Bharat Jhunjhunwala rivers in Rig Veda talks about juices., what is Juices., is that poetry or helping with documentary or archaeological due to structure memory of water? What all has Zera, is it only to create to the next, is that memory - what is a seed?

Can @Bharat Jhunjhunwala and @sayak83 and myself and anyone else in this thread, explore what is a seed that leads to history discussions in how many ways of memories?

Jordan Peterson on the Joe Rogan show - The very Joe Rogan that Neil Young and Joni Mitchell have left Spotify over.

Think I'll go and watch some paint dry instead
So what you are saying is that you value entertainers' opinions over the opinion of a lifelong scholar. Interesting.

If so, I'd add that the Bible has had a major influence historically and culturally, but is not an important source of ideas for those living outside of the religions which consider it a holy book
Seriously? It's the most influential book ever, across all spectrums. Just because you don't like that fact doesn't make it less true.

I did not. :)

What are your thoughts about (Zera) in Gen. 17:8 and what are your thoughts about Brahman being the same God as Allah and YHWH?

@KenS @Bharat Jhunjhunwala what are your thoughts about why North Korea is the way it is, while the other areas of the world has their religions? What are your thoughts about South Korea in all of this too and what do Hindus think of people in North Korea, do Hindus think people are there in North Korea due to reincarnation and being restricted to learn religions? Is that why? what type of past lives would cause people be reincarnated to North Korea and are restricted to learn other religions

It's a book written about a lot of answers gained about human only science theisms.

After the fact of being life mind body in all of nature changed.

Evicted genesis of everything including earths mass. Into stopped..sink holes. To collapsed earth plates occurring.

Having healed returned human health mind genesis as the life's lesson. To then recant the old story theism...readvised consciously.

So it's mythical ....as so is any human theory mythical itself first.

It became the foundation of con fess of sion. Fusion fission..Sion to end Zion. Seven phases. S to Z.

A reason for truth by equal rights a legal written new book to be written against rich men brothers agreed science man minds consciousness...two brother terms. Life attack on earth. It's destruction.

It's mythical as science never owned cosmic creation.

As a testimonial it's basis was why human law needed it's structure. As humans who lie owned life's attack.

Telling the truth only became legal.

Shut testimony advice given by data fact only. Not the story. Theism storytelling first before data is applied method.

Proved man with machine did it.

Shut bible hand upon book. Hand upon heart. Legal oath only.

The only place a humans hand belongs legally.

As gods hand was a metaphorical vision of men wanting by their hands to gain destruction.

Dinosaur giant life dead owned life in nature before humans returned life on earth. Gained giant visions in clouds images of men as Theists of past earth data.

False images. Legal teaching.
