Did You Remember To Set Your Alarm?

Do you wake up to an alarm clock, or do you wake up on your own?

If the former, what time do you set your alarm for?

If the latter, what time do you wake up? How did your body get into this habit?

Personally, I'm awake at 4:30am each morning without an alarm. Years ago, when I was a district manager for a major QSR chain, my phone would ring anytime between 5am and 2am. I found that the only time I could get assured uninterrupted meditation time in was between 2am and 5am, so I began setting my alarm at 3:20. Eventually I started awakening at that time on my own.

In my new job, my work hours are different, with most days requiring me to be awake until at least 10pm. My body naturally adjusted to where it got the same amount of sleep I was getting during the earlier wake-up time.

I have mine set to 8am to get my son ready for school, but usually he'll wake up and then wake me up before it goes off.

Between my body naturally producing copious amounts of heat at 4 am like clockwork and my bladder alarm, I'm usually awake during the wee (pardon the pun) hours of the morning.

My alarm has got 4 legs, 2 furry ears and 2 volume settings:
1. Loud. (That's the quiet setting)
2. "Good grief just give me a minute!"

*inarticulate grunting over coffee.*
Alarm. I wake up at around 6am and no matter how long I've been doing it, my body naturally wants me to go to bed at 3am and get up at noon.

I set my alarm for 5:00 AM every single day -- but I generally wake up 2 or 3 minutes before it goes off and turn it off, so as not to disturb my sleeping partner. Life-long habit of being an early riser.

Maybe things are a bit different in Revoltistan. Tall cone shaped heads are never seen over this side of the Atlantic
You have my condolences.
Especially in France, you need cone shaped hats.

We regularly see French people here in Ameristan.
Weird ways you have...at least that's how they seem
to us bumpkins.
