Atheists have faith.

Ridiculous. What's even more ridiculous is seeing someone who claims to be so morally superior with supernatural insight via God and who spends countless hours on an internet forum with atheists, failing so miserably at judging the actual character and morals of those atheists.

I suggest you ask what atheists are doing to try to improve the long history of religious immorality., bigotry, self-ighteousness and degradation of the planet all carried out in the name of their imaginary Gods.

What is it you are actually doing to improve these wrongs? What are you doing to save nature or help your fellow humans? I can say that repeating childish myths about the evil atheists on an internet forum doesn't make for a moral or ethical person. Repeating words from a long dead crazy man does nothing except make people like that feel better about their own useless and miserable lives.
Atheists have more morals and ethics in their little toenails than most self proclaimed, superior religionists who have nothing to contribute to improving the actual lives of others or the planet and instead sit around posting childish lies about atheists on an internet forum.

The various scandals and lawsuits bear out your claims.

The Catholic church is now declaring bankruptcy to protect its mammon and graven images from paying for the emotional damage to its victims of boy-raping priests. Ditto, the Boy Scouts of America are similarly trying to keep their assets rather than compensating their victims.

Obviously, theists believe that God will forgive every sin, so they sin and sin and sin. Greed, lust, and the other deadly sins guide their immoral behavior.

You don't see such behavior in atheists (at least, not very often).

I agree with your post completely.

I will offer that it is at times a different approach in faith, in faith I consider the answer has been given, and as such, what I look for is the evidence for that answer.

So faith tells me there is one God and One human race in this planet. That is what I look for in all the proofs there are on faith, which is the past and current teachings. So if what I have embraced is correct, I should be able to find that reflected in all that past evidence, even if the evidence has not been seen in that way before. A fresh look at old evidence one might say, because the jury is still out.

I will add I should also find that it was a goal of humanity, now and in the past.

Regards Tony

..Romans almost never took down the bodies of those that they crucified early. They left them up for a very long time...It was part of the punishment..

Ah, but JC was a special case by not only claiming to be the Messiah, the Christ and the Son of God, but also he claimed he'd rise after 3 days so no wonder the snooty priests and Romans were in a tizzy.
So they put their heads together and decided to roll a boulder over the tomb entrance and station Roman sentries, then went away high-fiving with smiles on their faces bigger than waves on slop buckets saying "Not even Shawshanks Andy Dufresne could get out of there"..:)

What? No, he was merely another troublemaker to the Romans.

find it very interesting to meditate on the approach to this OP, does anybody else see the same diversity of atheists that you will also find in religious adherence?

Pilate pronounced Jesus "Not guilty" so obviously he never considered him a threat..:)
"Pilate tried to set Jesus free, but the Jewish leaders kept shouting, “If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar.”
Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified, so the soldiers took charge of Jesus. " (John 19: 12-16)

It went something like this-
PILATE - "I find Jesus not guilty, case dismissed"
PRIESTS - "Whoa bub, he said he was a King so that makes him guilty of treason against your Caesar who's the only true king. If you let a traitor off the hook it'll look bad on your military record and you'll end up sweeping out the latrines in the Colosseum"..
PILATE - "Hmm yes, okay I'd better sign the death warrant to cover my ***"

Dude! You really do not know that. You only have one biased source.

All the founders are in heaven now so what's the difference? Jesus is up there with God and all the other Messengers of God and He is no higher up than any other Messenger because they are all with God in the highest heaven.

But all the other founders of other religions were not Christians, and as heaven is a "Christians Only" gated community, they can't be up there or it'd be a case of "oops there goes the neighbourhood"..:)

..I see there are many people that do not have faith that are wonderful souls..

Yes that's great, and it might even get them to the pearlies, but whether they get let through is another matter.
The bouncer will ask them ONE question- "Are you a Christian?" and if they say "No", he's bound to tell them-

Many religions have an afterlife, maybe called by different names but they too have their gated communities

How sad that your god hates non christians so much. You would think a god that made all humanity would love all humanity. And what makes you think he favour Christians anyway?
