Reinstate Gina Carano on The Mandalorian

Does she even want to work on the Mandalorian or other Disney property?

Plus, why would Disney hire someone with a few screw loose on their payroll. That's not too good for their brand image as an all inclusive, family centered, entertainment brand. Disney likes to keep its union busting, exploitative practices, shady ethics and monopolistic tendencies under the radar not posting screeds on twitter for all to see. That's bad for business.

Imagine thinking Disney is 'the left.'
It's something that corporate policy and action and contracts people agreed to being enforced is now "the left."

Where has Disney every been "all inclusive" and "family centered"? They've long catered to the stiffest and crustiest of Conservatives, women artists were underpaid and not credited, they have a habit of artificially manipulating the market, and now they are firing for voicing opinions.
New The left has gone too far
Do you even know what "the left" is or are you just repeating a word you heard?

Oh Disney always wanted to be "family centered" and were very successful at it. Pretty much everybody on this board has grown up watching Disney's products. They long catered to the stiffest and crustiest conservatives because it was long seen as "family centered". Now gender, sexual and racial equality is viewed as very family centered so it pivoted in a new direction.

It pivoted to a more "inclusive" brand image and a more progressive, perhaps even softly feminist image, in the early 2000's, like many other entertainment companies, to tap unto the international market more easily and avoid losing popularity due to the extensive feminist critique of its most emblematic product: the princess movies. Today's princesses are less damsel in distress and more heroin in their own right than they used to.

Disney sells to the left.

Disney doesn't sell to the left it sells to everyone, left, right , center, American, Chinese, European and even to people in Togo. It could very well pander to islamists if it wanted to, but it prefers to pander to the general public and to the general public, conspiracy theories, racism and far-right policies are very unpopular.

I know.
The left is merely a big market....not exclusive.

Disney changing and editing things isn't actually anything new because "family centered" is a facade. They aren't family centered, they are money centered. Everything else is secondary.

That's false. Disney is family centered in the sense that it makes money producing movies destined for family and the general public. They don't produce porn or R rated movies either. They could make a lot of money with those too, but they chose not to, at least not under the Disney brand. Yes, like all corporation, Disney is running after money, but they have chosen a specific way and method to make money and it doesn't involved adult entertainment.

They own Family Guy. They own movie rights to Deadpool. "Family centered" is a facade. They don't produce porn, but Pirates gets a bit violent and raunchy at times.

Family Guy is about a family.
Deadpool is about bravely overcoming
adversity, fighting evil, & achieving good.

Family Guy is about a family.
Well, that statement is not arguable.
But the type of family? They make the Simpsons look highly functional, and I remember concerned parents and Conservatives calling them a dysfunctional family representing immorality the downfall of America (though the Simpsons is probably one of the better, if not best, families on TV). And then a few years later South Park came out. And then a few years later Family Guy.

Deadpool is concentrated chaotic neutral. Fighting evil and achieving good? He fights whoever gets in his way, he fights for what he believes in, and he killed the entire Marvel Universe. Twice. And he can use his mouth well enough to send the entire classic Disney lineup to the psych ward (He's already killed Howard the Duck, so Mickey Mouse may be next).

What could be more family oriented than a family
over-coming dysfunction to stay together, eh.

Even Micky is all about over-coming alcoholism.
