John Macarthur opens church

I’m not discrediting anyone. I’m asking questions that you opened the door to. And you haven’t answered them. Stopping others from living their lives isn’t going to ensure your health. Lock down your home, refuse visitors, shop at home, stay home, keep your kids home. But you don’t want that. You want everyone to do what you want them to do, what you think is the right way.
That reminds me of the final state of the billionaire Howard Hughes. I hear he was so afraid of germs he rented a whole floor of a big hotel to keep others away. He grew his nails real long..etc.
People can take what they believe are reasonable precautions, but even if someone hid in their home all day every day, they are still at risk. If they get mail, or food delivered, or etc.

I'm going out only once a week now, other than for walks with Boss, or appointments for things like flu shots. Yesterday I ordered an air purifier from a local store for drive by pickup. The order was confirmed to be ready in less than half an hour after my email, and I picked it up 10 minutes later. The front of the store parking lot was jam packed, but there was only one car at the back using this free service, and that was me. It's really not that hard.

We to only venture out once per week other than official stuff, seeing the doctor, department admin etc. And walks in the countryside, with no one else about. As you say, its not hard

And just what is that time? What is “as long as it takes”? Give me a number. Another 6 months, 12 months, 18 months? Until food shipments stop? We’re still having problems because warehouse workers don’t want to go to work... to jobs they still have So our shelves are still empty. How long?

Why? If it takes a month then a month, if it takes 10 years then 10 years.

And have you never heard of being sensible? Most food manufacturets, farmers and shops have...

Spreading a disease because they want to live their life without considering others is a great way to welcome all to the flock dont you think?

Why are you concerning yourself with people you have no contact with, and are you taking your own precautions? And how do you know who is infected? Yes, you’re succumbing to the hysteria.

I do not consider a meeting of believers as the bible commands that also have helping ministries to be on some mass shooting spree. That is foolishness. However I notice you did not condemn the rioters/looters/terrorists/vandals/arsonists/shooters that do run around these days!?

That was off this particular topic, but yes that's as equally as irresponsible. Any close proximity of large crowds is irresponsible, and I think your president has proved that rather well, as did youth at Florida beaches.

The idea that everybody dies some time so so what is at the precipice of one very dangerous and slippery slope.

You have no right to impose that on others. Will you pay their bills? Most food manufacturers, farmers and shops have what?

I'm sad that France is getting kicked these days. Poland and Belgium too. It appears we will be following, as we're just starting to go up the curve again.

It is indeed harder for some. My children, with one exception, (she works from home) have to earn a living. But they take all the precautions they can, given the circumstances. I think the meaning of 'necessity' varies for some. That's certainly the crux of the matter with this church. His trial has been delayed until Nov. 13, after the election. I wouldn't want to be that judge.

I am not imposing anything. You asked a question, you continually asked the same question despite me answering.

Or arw you happy about the deaths caused by selfish people not respecting the lives of others?

Sensible precautions will reduce the spread of the disease. Unfortunately as we can see from just this thread, not everyone is sensibly.

That is hysteria and succumbing to the fear mongering. You are afraid and expect the world to stop. No, it behooves you to adjust and protect yourself. You have no right to dictate how I or anyone else should live based on your fears.

How many die of the flu every year? And don’t say how deadly COVID is, that it’s not the flu... dead from from the flu or pneumonia or COVID is dead. None is deadlier than the other. Dead... is... dead.

Your answers reflect selfishness. The same selfishness you accuse others of. I’m not wasting my time anymore.

Actually its called science and the virus can travel up to 18 metres when airborne.

So, hide in a basement? Don't breathe? If it can travel18 meters - it won't matter if you social distance OR wear a mask.

No.. there are many things I may disagree with, but I will still fight for the rights of freedom.

I'm not a Christian so quoting Christianity at me is like speaking Mandarin to me. Still I can easily interpret that as saying one should go out and kill as many people as he can, because he's doing God's work to deliver them from bondage. I say you should go for it.

I LOVE that quote. The word "bondage" reflects a slave situation where they are not allowed to think or do anything unless their masters tell them. Fear is VERY controlling and places people in chains, it won't let you out of the house, it won't let you go inside a grocery story, it won't let you go to work because you fear you are about to die.

Or as Henny Penny said, "The sky is falling".

You will fight for the right to be stupid and not wear a mask?? This country has gone to hell!!
