So in your ideal society, people would steal and kill freely?I see evil as a religious idea and has no meaning for those not in certain clubs.
So in your ideal society, people would steal and kill freely?
Oh, good, wanted to be sure. I'm with you on that. This is precisely what i am talking about
Morality is a human trait, not a religious exclude everyone not in our club trait. Just about every person born knows the difference between right and wrong.
The thing about the imaginary Devil of the Christians sects is that no matter how hard they try they cannot make him more evil and wicked than man himself.
"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure—who can understand it?" Jer 17:9
Matthew 13:15
For this people's heart has grown callous; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them.'
Mark 2:17
On hearing this, Jesus told them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
Mark 7:21
For from within the hearts of men come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery,
Mark 7:22
greed, wickedness, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, arrogance, and foolishness.
Romans 1:21
For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking and darkened in their foolish hearts.
Romans 7:11
For sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through the commandment put me to death.
Ephesians 4:22
to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
As I understand it, it was the sin of only one man that has brought death upon everyone after him. So, the sin of one is responsible for the death of the many. And while the devil is responsible for 10 deaths in the OT, god is directly responsible for an estimated 2 million or more and mankind is in the frame for, well, unknown but certainly over a billion
As I understand it, it was the sin of only one man that has brought death upon everyone after him. So, the sin of one is responsible for the death of the many.
The man was Adam.Which man is this?
As i understand the bible, god got peeved because his greatest creation was being naughty so he killed them all (along with all other life on earth) except a close buddy, his immediate family and around 18 million animals
The man was Adam.
According to the Bible, God told the man he would die if he ate of the forbidden fruit.
It's the sin of Adam that is responsible for bringing death to all mankind. And that makes it ok for god to commit genocide?
As I understand it, it was the sin of only one man that has brought death upon everyone after him.
So, the sin of one is responsible for the death of the many.
When men kill each other in war it is simply the dead killing the dead.
It's the sin of Adam that is responsible for bringing death to all mankind.
There is a difference between being punished for the sin of another and having the misfortune of being like the other.Again, no.
See the Kim Jung Un example.
When Kim Jung Un punishes an entire family for the transgressions of 1 person, we don't say that that one person is responsible for it. NO MATTER what his crime was.
It's NEVER okay to punish anyone but the guilty for anything.
If you are content wth a god that so evil he commits genocide for his own mistake then fair enough. It's the sin of Adam that is responsible for bringing death to all mankind.
There is a difference between being punished for the sin of another and having the misfortune of being like the other.
All mankind die not because they are being punished for Adam's sin but because all mankind are like Adam.
some say evil is the lack of good.
but really? isn't it simply the lack of love for all as self?
doesn't that second line describe....sociopath?some say evil is the lack of good.
but really? isn't it simply the lack of love for all as self?
Where does the Bible say that humans are cursed?Sounds like you're changing the story just so you won't have to acknowledge my point.
ps: you conviently left out idea of all living things being "cursed", not just humans. I guess rats, birds, worms, lions, fish, spiders, mosquito's ..... are "like Adam" also then.
