girls shouldn't have to wear skirts or blouses if they don't want to.
You're wicked. And all the horny 13 year old boys would be asking for bathroom passes all day.
(I know what you mean, I couldn't resist... I'm weak ).
Uniforms...one more submission to The Man.
Makes me think of saying pledges, marching,
regimentation, & the appearance of equality.
The less submission the better, I say.Until they're adults, children are always in submission to "The Man", be it their parents or their teachers. Besides, the little snots could use some discipline and regimentation. None of this bullying other kids for wearing the "wrong" brands.
LoL...no...a tv series called I liceali...set in RomeThat's a pic of Milano 90210.
I don't recall disputes about clothing back in my high school years...Until they're adults, children are always in submission to "The Man", be it their parents or their teachers. Children should be granted freedoms as they prove to have matured enough to have them. The less submission the better, I say.
Times are different. Even during the ninties at a small rural school the "poor kids" were picked on for not wearing (over-hyped and over-priced) Air Jordans.I never saw any bullying over clothing brands.
Well mama mia.I don't recall disputes about clothing back in my high school years...
Actually yes...a group of female nerds complained with the headmistress because - in their opinion- our female classmates used to wear s l u tty clothes...
Omg...I did know the series...very very famous in Italy...I mean...someone attempted suicide when Luke Perry left us.There was a tv series called Beverly Hills 90210. It was about a group of beautiful young people and their trials, tribulations and dramas. Beverly Hills is a very rich and fashionable, fashion- and beauty-conscious city in California (actually I think it's part of LA ). Hence my spoof with Milano 90210.
Not what I had in mind, but that could be a reason. I just think forcing gender differences in uniforms is unneeded. And all the horny 13 year old boys would be asking for bathroom passes all day.

Doesn't sound too bad. Especially when this:Mine was bright green with a red and yellow lining - not good, but when all your mates have it too, you sort of get used to it.
Well..not necessary....given how undressed high school girls are nowadays...Not what I had in mind, but that could be a reason. I just think forcing gender differences in uniforms is unneeded.
I recall a girl being sent home to change for dressing too slutty in the first high school I went to. I felt bad for her. It was very embarrassing.Well..not necessary....given how undressed high school girls are nowadays...
They do distinguish themselves...
Doesn't sound too bad. Especially when this:
Becomes this in your last year:
So what are some pros and cons for each system, do you think?
I just think forcing gender differences in uniforms is unneeded.
Dressing themselves seems a good one to grant early on.Children should be granted freedoms as they prove to have matured enough to have them.
Kids will get picked on for something.Times are different. Even during the ninties at a small rural school the "poor kids" were picked on for not wearing (over-hyped and over-priced) Air Jordans.
They can choose what they wear outside of school. And really that's actually in their parents' hands, since they're the ones who approve of and purchase their clothing.Dressing themselves seems a good one to grant early on.
Kids will get picked on for something.
I advise dealing with the bullies rather
than restricting the victims' choices.
