I think you missed my point. With modern technology, communication and travel are becoming more fluid and the rest of the world is a lot closer to us than it used to be. This will continue to increase.

Also, with technology and climate change comes the problems related to health, pollution, and resources becoming scarce or hoarded. This is inherently a worldwide problem. Also, nuclear weapons. With nuclear powers comes the need for international diplomacy.

As population rises, not only are more resources needed, but local conflicts tend force people out and can turn bigger and involve more powerful nations.

The problem is that long time ago the government decided that only 2% of the outcome from oil should be added to the spending each year. so the rest of the governmental budget for a year comes from tax money we must pay every month. we pay 24% tax on income earnings
