I wasn't even thinking of Christians when I posted that.
But I'd rather avoid indicating which group stands out to me.
I am I, no one else, the authentic me.
I don't see how anyone can be other than themselves unless there is some degree of dissociative identity disorder or they are playing to the crowd.

Could it be that everyone (except for the occasional Poe) is authentic,
& that some people mistakenly find others inauthentic due to failure
to grok the others? It's a way to make the other the problem, eh.
Methinks it must take a lot of effort and a bloody good memory to be someone else. But i do often think, sheesh, is he/she real?

I think you need to find out who you are first and try to avoid trying to live upto any ideal of what other people think you ought to be.
For me that amounts to discovering what actually makes me happy. It's not like deciding what is going to make me happy. It's identifying those moments in my life that I was actually happy and understanding what caused them.

Well, there are many versions of the Truth. Not just one. That is what tells me, that all should be checked for being subjective.
I prefer stating my preferences to claiming The Truth.
It's a moral relativist thing.
