Mosquitoes Love Me

Over the past few months, I have been getting routinely bitten by mosquitoes at night. My partner never gets bitten at all, they only go for me for some reason. I just got bitten again three times last night. It's gotten to the point where I have literally bought a big citronella candle and I light it and put it in our bedroom burning for most of the night (I don't do this all the time because it seems like such ridiculous overkill). I have also tried applying tea tree oil to myself before bed; I'm not sure if that's been effective or not.

Any helpful tips on how not to be mosquito food?

Mosquitoes greatly prefer Mrs Revolt to me.
It must be cuz I eat more bacon & chocolate.
Also, she's a Democrat, & I'm a Libertarian.
So diet & political party....I recommend trying mine.

What can I say, you make an airtight case. Political irrelevance and early death by heart attack it is.:p

Or just try becoming old and unpleasant - that seems to have worked for me - and some other old and unpleasant people it seems.

Seriously though, mossies are a pain in the ... well I usually keep that part covered so not there - but we have millions of 'em in Fiji and we use mosquito coils and other things that emit toxic fumes into our sleeping spaces - or paste other toxic materials onto the exposed skin - mosquito nets are probably the best bet or screen your windows.

Dunno what it is about me but mosquitos avoid me like the plaque. They'll attack everyone else in the room but me.

Must be too much freedom in Libertarian veins for em!

Supposedly the scent of pine keeps them away. Haven't tried it yet.

Given that the mosquitoes attracted to humans are female , you could say with a grain of truth you are very popular with the gals. ;0)
