Thank you @danieldemolWelcome back @Amanaki
You are so correct in this In the time i been away from the forum, i have meditated every day and i find now dhamma in everything both the pleasant but also what feels negative, because when something feels negative it means there is still more to realise, more dhamma to seeI think a number are looking for sanction without realizing that topics and subjects of discussion also face opposition and negativity time to time. That's an aspect of Dharma as well, aka Bushido time. "O]
Of course, there are areas where one could go to avoid that if it gets too much.
Most everyone likes tea and coffee houses between battles. Pleasant conversation and exchange of thoughts and ideas.
After almost a month away from this forum, I choose to come back. After much thought and searching, I can't find a forum like this. But I probably won't be as active as I was last time. And I will mostly stick to the Dharma Dir but will from time to time respond to some other parts of the forum too
Thank you Good to be back tooGreat to see you back.
Regards Tony
It is good to be back too.
One of the reasons i did leave in the first place, was that i needed to sort out where i was in life, so i have been on a meditation retreat alone for a few weeks, to see if this could give me clue to where my path lead me And the result look good so far.
Yes, sometimes there is to much happening in our lifes, and if we are not mindful enough about it, it will lead to suffering (in my exerience) So to pull back from society for some time, and look within during meditation often lead to a form of answer to what is needed to be doneGood for you. It's good to sometimes take a break to reflect on things.
It took me a very long time to see that. Sometimes it still does, but I find that bothers me for shorter and shorter increments. I think what changed my disposition was during a Dharma talk that advised one to run toward what scares you the most. I think it has to do with that red ball of iron lodged in the throat that can never be extinguished or extracted. ;O)You are so correct in this In the time i been away from the forum, i have meditated every day and i find now dhamma in everything both the pleasant but also what feels negative, because when something feels negative it means there is still more to realise, more dhamma to see

Of course, that doesn't mean a challenge to go blindly into the worst part of town, (*grin*) but rather when you're faced with negativity and adversary, you charge toward it head-on and in doing so eventually see it for what it is. Another facet of Dharma that is undifferentiated and undistinguishable from the other end of the spectrum that's regarded as amicable and pleasant. It's probably why they say Buddhists can easily traverse through Heaven and Hell Without flinching.
Once realized, you should find that adversary and negativity dosent cause the amount of suffering that it used to, less clinging and attachment regarding the after effects, and a positive impact on your overall wellness and health would become noticeable in the course of time..
"Run toward what scares you the most".
Whatta teacher, eh? =O)

Yes i missed you so much i could not stay awayI knew you'd miss me too much to stay away!
Seriously though, I, for one, am glad to see you've reconsidered.
You chose to leave, and made a production out of doing so.
I would have failed in that miserably. He didn't make a production about leaving. He posted a departure thread and unlike most, stuck by his word and didn't come back to read who posted on it.
The staff doesn't play favorites.

Eh people go through phases. Sometime there's a bit of an overload of the senses and we say things we don't mean. I was a bit skeptical of the site at first as my mind took some adjustment to a new site with different member values, but I have to bow down to RF as I think it's pretty cool and fair.
