Not the lady who defended the IRA's Warrington bombs?

Sometimes those on the Left are right.

From what I understand, she failed to condemn the Warrington IRA bombers. The sort of thing that is a speciality of the leader of the Labour Party. I did say she was on the Left after all.

= We are not interested in remaining in this EU any more, since when we joined in, it was still a trade community and not a supranational entity.

= We will impose you a deal, UK, and we will do anything to make you change your mind and remain.

= Let them exit, Germany. They will face the negative consequences of their decision.

= Germans and French, you 2 are to blame. This EU needs to be changed radically, or else UK has the right to exit.

IMO we should be feeling like

Control of our borders.
No more nonsense directives.
Self determination.
New trade deals.

I love Europe but never felt European, been to some amazing places there too, wine women but not so much song (ever seen the euro song contest lol) so I'm glad we're out and feeling positive, not every one is so here's your chance to say why.

A unified EU is required to go forward and compete on the international market against forces like China, Russia, US, India, etc...

A divided EU is a weak EU.

Leaving is the worst possible decision you could have ever made. It's bad for the EU and even worse for the UK. Those who think otherwise will change their minds eventually. It's incredibly naive to think there won't be any problems - both short and long term.

Brexiteers like to pretend as if all their problems will magically disappear if they aren't in the EU.
Not only isn't that the case, you'll actually gain quite a few additional problems (relations with Schotland and Ireland, for starters).

Brexit is none of my business, but as an onlooker I'm astonished at (what from the media appears to be) the utterly shambolic disorganization in Brexiting.

It's typical populism.
They scream the loudest and make ridiculous amounts of promises, but actually they have no clue what they are talking about. And the entire process has just been pouring out more evidence of that every single day.

Those Brexiteers promising "lala land" during their brexit campaign in reality had NO IDEA AT ALL what they were talking about.

It's been shown time and again that the vast majority of their statements during the brexit campaign were just lies upon lies upon falsehoods. One after the other.

Any self-respecting country would have organized a new referendum after it became clear that the voters voted based on FALSE information - many of which was quite deliberatly false.

It's absolutely scandalous.

And the speed with which Nigel Farage vanished and Boris Johnson fled from taking responsibility has made it look like the job of Brexiting has fallen, in effect, to non-volunteers.

Uhu. Nigel.... one of the biggest liars of them all during that campaign. Where is he now? Ow, right.... collecting pay checks in.... THE EU PARLIAMENT (which he then ships to his off shore accounts, btw)

So I hope that's wrong, but if it's right, I say to Britain, Jolly good luck with that, chaps!

Yup.

It will not end with just Brexit though. Mark my words. When they actually left, is when their real problems will begin. The "Ununited Kingdom" is coming. Looking at you, schotland and ireland.....

Day by day, it's painful to watch. Sort of, The Headless Chook Rides Again.

I'm not close enough to the scene to make assertions, but as a matter of impression, my money's on Farage having dual citizenship and living on the Continent; and if anyone says something cynical about Affable Boris Bāgaroff, I'd have to nod.

Oh how the Brexiteers have changed their tune ....

During the Referendum...
"Brexit means we get £350 million extra per week for the NHS." Boris Johnson, et al

Now ...
"Brexit won't be as big a sacrifice as the most destructive and deadly war in human history" Ann Widdecombe

Myeah, it's kind of hard to really get the motivations of such peeps.
One has to wonder, did the dude really believe all the nonsense he spewed during his brexit campaign? Really? I find it hard to believe. In essence, I'm like.... this guy is a politician with a seat in big parliaments, and even in the EU. On the surface, that sounds like quite an accomplished political carreer. You'ld expect that such a person has a certain level of intellect and sophistication... both of which would make it hard to believe that he actually believed all that nonsense...

But then again.... I heared him speak in the EU assemblies a couple of times.... It made me wonder how he managed to get people to vote him into office in the first place. But then again, you could say the same (and worse, actually) about Trump. :p

It's indeed painfull to watch. Rather unbelievable, really. I look at these fools on TV and I honestly wonder if its not just some really bad joke or something.

And to think that there are even still Brexiteers in the UK that would actually FAVOR a "hard chaotic brexit". They have NO CLUE what they are getting themselves into.

One things that really stuck with me from a documentary concerning the early days after the referendum... It nicely exemplifies how utterly unprepared and ignorant brexiteers were... Inside the EU, they were working to prepare for the negotations. Thousands upon thousands of pages of EVERYTHING that needed to be looked at since after the brexit, it couldn't be taken for granted anymore. Because obviously, when inside the EU, you fall under EU regulation and you can trust on that. Like food for example... There are EU imposed regulations and standards in terms of safety etc. Importing food from OUTSIDE the EU, needs additional safety checks (and thus more costly) to see if it is upto EU standards for consumer use.

The thing that stuck with me...
There was this one guy, working on one specific area of that enormous document. He was extremely busy placing phonecalls etc, trying to find out something specific. The docu makers asked him about what he had been doing the past couple days.

Here's his answer: "I'm trying to find out how many cats or imported annually from the UK to EU mainland and/or vice versa".

Yes. Cats. Working for days on a casefile comprising of thousands upon thousands of pages. A dude, employed full time by the commission, frantically working for days with loooong hours. Trying to find out how many cats go from the UK to EU mainland and vice versa.

That was the point at which I said to myself: "this is completely insane.........................."

It could and should have been so different, utter shambles now and actually embarrassing, the remains will get their way In the end.

If the Leavers in the Tory Party actually knew what they wanted, it would have happened. But there was 10 types of Leave; Switzerland, Norway, Canada, No Deal, In or Out of the Customs Union, etc., etc.,
The Leavers were united during the campaign but totally disunited during the negotiations. There should have been a basis for negotiations ready on the day after Article 50 was invoked; the EU had one ready.

As you say a shambles by the Tories and unfortunately we have the most inept opposition party I can remember; Labour should now be 20+ points up in the opinion polls; instead they are about level.

Mrs May got rid of anyone that was prepared to play hardball with EU and relied on the likes Olly Robbins instead.

I probably will not live long enough to find out if she is being blackmailed. She has certainly aged over the last couple of years.

Whenever the EU has said jump her response has been to ask how high.

She put the lead Brexiteers in charge!!!

Look at the contempt shown for Davis knowledge and ability in that Documentary last night. He was one of the leaders of the Leave campaign and proved like all the others, they cannot lead and just make good runners.

How many Brexit Ministers did we have in the end and she took no notice of any of them.

Jeff has a few words to say about her and other Brexit related things.

As usual, Brexiteer's will not take responsibility for their actions. Blame everyone apart from themselves.
