I dont believe Jesus as God but I do take biblical stands from a Christian viewpoint at times, and I have one for this topic.Oddly enough I have a little personality in me that is Christian, or takes a biblical stand at times and at times I can get on my pullpitt and preach.
My Dad was a Primitive Baptist and sometimes I wonder if I would not fit in with his church except my feelings on Jesus but I do see the point in my dads church on some things. They believe in the chosen generation that everyone is predestined to go to heaven or hell, there's no such thing as earning your way to heaven by accepting Jesus.
But again back to being resaved and alter calls that have salvation calls to re accept Jesus as Lord over and over.
The reason why my Mom while in Alcoholics Anonymous did not accept invitations to go to church was because of this.
She said they want to take me and get me resaved again, God saved me at 8 why are Celebrate Recovery Christians trying to get me resaved? Apparently God was stupid and doesn't know what he was doing.
I was saved responded to a million alter calls and baptized in 3 churches , the Southern Baptists at 8, the Seventh Day Adventist church at 22 and the Pentecostals baptiized in Jesus name at age 24 when I started speaking in tongues right after and the pastor put the micriophone to my mouth so everyone could hear me.
My Dads church says the mainstream church holds on to people responding to emotional alter calls over and over because they are trying to work to earn their salvation, I agree with that.
That's working, the fact that they have to do it over and over, well I've sinned again, i must lave lost my free ticket out of hell so lets go to church and respond to the alter cal to get my free ticket out of hell again.
This is the attitude. This is one reason why i dont go to church service with folks from AA who ask me either, they want to take me get me re saved and get me to be a member of the church, it has nothing to do with the bible.
Where in the bible does it say we can lose our salvation? I don't understand the ministry of Jesus not sure I believe int he actual Jesus ,but I believe God saved me and I don't worry about it.
