(I come from a non-dual (God and the universe are not-two) perspective and a believer in life after death and reincarnation)I wonder what you believe. Does life have a purpose?
The purpose of life is the experience of living.
Human life is special. For one thing we are able to ask questions like "Does life have a purpose?" That ability is unique in nature, but that is only one tiny thing. We can imagine an extension of concepts. For example love. We can take physical love and familial love and imagine an extended concept of it. We can imagine love on a universal scale. This a spiritual ability.I wonder what you believe. Does life have a purpose?

Our purpose is to ask questions.

I think the purpose of life is to experience the ride from a feeling of separation and ego-attachment to a feeling of Oneness in total love.
That could be purpose enough, but if I were to assign that as the purpose of humanity I would be guessing. Why limit humanity to having a purpose? Maybe we define purposes. For what purpose?

I wonder why you think there would be no need for a universe if there is no life. I'd like to discuss more about that later. No "purpose' whatsoever. However, upon reflection, if there were no life then I guess there would be no need for a universe. So there is that.
When I get out of bed I don't wonder about my purpose. I wonder about what I have to do next. I also make the moral decision of whether or not to make coffee and breakfast. But will this give us a true purpose or just a reason to get out of bed every day?
Most people don't want to die. Which is generally why they go to doctors, recoil from terror, try to escape from death dealing incidents. That could be purpose enough, but if I were to assign that as the purpose of humanity I would be guessing. Purpose is a human concept we use in order to make sense of things, so we can apply it however we like, so having said that, there is no purpose to any of this. For what purpose?
Interesting that a good thought or purpose can motivate a person to get out of bed eagerly, assuming he's had enough sleepWhen I get out of bed I don't wonder about my purpose. I wonder about what I have to do next. I also make the moral decision of whether or not to make coffee and breakfast.

To experience.For what purpose?
To experience.
(which is preferable to non-experiencing the growth from separetness and ego-driven experiencing to realization of Oneness in love)
Experience needs to be directed at ascertaining truth for existence. To experience.
