It came up in another thread

seems at least one member here insists that we are animals
all of us
no matter what

animals are our equals.....no matter what
we are not greater than animals .....no matter what

and I posted in return.....
to be no more than animal.....I would need to surrender
my social abilities
my politics
my economics
and my .....God

so......redirecting and redrawing the line at hand

are non-believers.....animals?

Yes, even thought I prefer great ape. since atheists are a subset of homo sapiens, a vertebrate, mammal, primate, great ape, then it follows that we are also great apes.

Biologically, we humans are animals. Theologically, that varies from religion to religion.

BTW, do non-human "animals" have "souls" in Christianity? Even though the Bible doesn't say they do, neither does it say they don't. As for me, I don't have an opinion one way or another on this.

I suspect animals have social abilities, politics economics maybe even a god just not as on a grand of a scale as man.

The behavior of animals seem "human like" at times. Kind of why Druidism made sense to me for a while.

we had a dog.....a fine puppy-minded, frisbee chasing, face to the knee 'pet me'......
and I have dreamt of her in a new form......a horse of the some color markings

do I believe our animals carry on into spirit?......yes I do

do I believe we humans are innately.....endowed?......no I do not

I believe the peace of heaven is guarded
not all that cross over are allowed to wander as they please

so......can a animal proceed?.....to wander
and you be denied the same grace

oh oh ......

but are we the GREATEST in the list you post?

You think those things are grounds for saying we're not animals? If so, why?
because of the obvious extreme

only humans.....for cause of the spirit we are.....can BE so extreme

animals mature to an extent and proceed no further

but a human.....
can put on a man-made suit and fly through a rocky outcropping......thread the needle
put his LIFE at risk
and do so for no more than the reward of doing it

a man can stand to a pulpit and convince so many.....God wants you to (whatever)

a man can stand to a podium and convince so many...I have a plan
I have a dream

a man can stand to a podium ...in uniform.....and lead a nation to war

and a man can lead us to prosperity.....or poverty

no animal can do sooooo much

I am not sure. I heard other great apes do not need to exercise to stay healthy, and I detest physical labour, including jogging, exercising and all that.

So, they are superior.

There are six taxonomic kingdoms:
  1. Bacteria
  2. Protozoa
  3. Chromista
  4. Plantae
  5. Fungi
  6. Animalia
I consider myself part of the Animalia kingdom. Of which kingdom are you?

Salix,
Animal
