It would totally depend on the intent of the person saying it. If they were sincere, I'd probably be confused. Whilst I realise gay stereotypes are just stereotypes, I'm a married, sports loving guy with a deep voice and lack of fashion sense.

If they meant it as an insult or to be disparaging, I'd think less of them, but otherwise not care.

If they were talking crap the way friends do, I'd wonder if I had jet-packed back to my teenage years.

I'm talking about referencing you as a homosexual in passing, such as:

"Talk about TV programs, (s)he probably likes X because (s)he's a homosexual."

I, RF member,

1. would take great offense at being referred to as a homosexual because . . . .
2. wouldn't like to be referred to as a homosexual at all because . . . .
3. would find it mildly disconcerting to be referred to as a homosexual because . . . .
4. would find it amusing to be referred to as a homosexual because . . . .
5. would regard it as stupid to be referred to as a homosexual because . . . .
6. wouldn't care one way or the other if I was referred to as a homosexual because . . . .
7. have another answer
I would find it amusing that someone who knew nothing about me would take the time and effort to try to, what in their mind was, to insult me.

One, does it really matter whether or not I am gay and two, I'm just so darn happy not to be as miserable as that person. And of course a touch of empathy and sadness for his unhappy and worthless life. Especially the older he is the longer he has been miserable and can't figure life out. And the more harm he really have may done to others along his way who can't see it is his problem and take him to heart.

Because they are individuals with different characters and personalities. They're not defined by their sexuality.

Is it personality or something else?

I knew for example a guy i use to work with at a job. He acted girly and i had a hunch he was homosexual and then later on i found out he really was. And that is just one example out of many.

Personality, hormones, environment, upbringing, experience, mental health, the list goes on.

The hormone one is interesting. Low testosterone i gauss could cause a girly type of personality.

And the guy i knew at this job appeared to also have low testosterone, he was only 130 pounds.

It's true.
I've counseled a friend on how to be macho.
Example.....
- Don't apologize unless really necessary.
- Drink from a glass, not from a straw.
- Don't skip while singing show tunes.

I just got to ask this too. Its off topic. But your picture in the evator, do you look like that somewhat in person? Just curious? :)

No, it's not caused by low testosterone. Your personality isn't determined by hormones. Low testosterone causes a lot of health problems and isn't very common, as well.

I look exactly like that....except that I've no mustache, I don't have red hair,
I've no overbite, I'm not bald, smaller nose, I'm not impressionist, & finally....
......my eyes are shiftier & less intelligent looking.
