As a society, how lazy have we gotten with third party delivery?

We have cars. We have public transportation. We have legs.

How are we now measuring 'convenience?'

Only a matter of time before there are tubes delivering food to your mouth. Just think, you can sit by the TV and get nourished without moving a muscle.

I would share if you were here. I just made a huge pot of fried chicken gumbo. The recipe calls for chicken stock but after thanksgiving I make my own out of the turkey carcass. Oh MY GAWD! So good.

You're my new best friend.

Eh, one of my coworkers orders practically all of her food from 3rd parties like that. Having two broken legs apparently removes your ability to drive.

It may not be a matter of laziness, though. Some people don't like to fight crowds and traffic - or wait in long lines. It may take longer to wait for delivery, but it may be more comfortable to wait in one's own home. It's less risk to stay at home, due to crime, accidents, and other hazards which may be out there.

And some, like my daughter (who unfortunately thinks that NYC is
a great place to live) work 80 hour weeks. She likes to cook, but
finds time for it lacking. And have you ever seen those closets
they call apartments in NYC? Kitchens are minimal.

Kangaroo Feathers

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...
*Grrrr!* young people today with their ubers and their ipods and their ihops! Back in the good old days if we wanted someone else to cook us a meal we had to fight our way through a blizzard in the burning desert for 20 miles uphill both ways! And then when we got there the restaurant would have run out of food and was closed anyway! And that's how we liked it!

Only 20 miles?
You must be city folk.
