And how is Trump honest? He's easily the most dishonest president in my life time, and it would be an accomplishment for any future presidents to beat him in the dishonesty department.

The jury i still out, but there is a strong possibility of the violation of campaign laws, conflict of interest, US and State of New York tax laws.

The truth about what? We know that he has been dishonest in some of what he has done since he later owned up to his lies.

Not necessarily. If we look at Obama, he didn't often flat out lie, but he was a master of carefully wording things, half truths, and choosy with references. That tends to be a safe place for politicians, because it becomes harder to say they lied, and instead you have to dig through stuff to find out "well, it's not wrong, but it's not exactly accurate either."

I grew up a moderate Republican with my Uncle a Congressman, I am presently an Independent making difficult choices when I vote. There is no place for me nor most of my family in today's Republican Party. It is in control by Extreme right Conservative Evangelical Christians and even further extreme right minorities. Hint: Most of President tRump's Cabinet and VP Pence give priority of the literal Bible over the science of evolution and the history of the earth.
No I am not proud of the Republican Party of today.

I too had a long history of voting Republican. I don't know what happened to the old Republican party. They use to be pro-science at one time. It was the Democrats that were hard to convince. Now it is the other way around.
I will give a qualified agreement for most Presidents since George Washington. With some exceptions such as Harry Truman
Sure, Trump is anything but a master of careful wording. It's like there is no conscious filter between his brain and his mouth and, or twitter fingers.

It's hard to believe at one point in time Republicans actually championed the environment with the likes of Theodore Roosevelt. Of course that was a century ago, but they have completely **** all over what should be one of their greatest legacies.
When Trump first announced his candidacy he said he would release his tax returns before the election. Every other presidential candidate in my lifetime did.
Was that true, or not?
