Not true. We are not an offshoot of any denomination. There were a group of men from various church backgrounds who met together to investigate the various doctrines to see if they were supported in the scriptures. One of them I believe was an SDA.
The sources used in our literature are from the 'horses mouth', meaning that we quote from the literature of the religious institution itself so as to maintain accuracy. The same was true of our NGO status (Non Government Organization) in the UN, which from memory required membership to access their library. Once we had secured our information, we resigned. Apostates had a field day with that one.....looks like you believe them. (not surprisingly)
I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but I assure you that PaD has no religious beliefs even in the same ball park as I do. He has made up his mind that God is a fiend and apparently nothing will change that. He is a free agent and can choose whatever belief he likes.
Now, that is actually funny coming from you.....
Funny I was just going to mention that. Paul's stating that "all scripture is inspired of God" was a reference to the Hebrew scriptures. When Jesus said "it is written" he was referring to the Hebrew writings.
Just for the record....Jehovah has always had his witnesses.
Isaiah 43:10-12....
“You are my witnesses,” declares Jehovah,
“Yes, my servant whom I have chosen,
So that you may know and have faith in me
And understand that I am the same One.
Before me no God was formed,
And after me there has been none.
11 I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.”
12 “I am the One who declared and saved and made known
When there was no foreign god among you.
So you are my witnesses,” declares Jehovah, “and I am God."
Hebrews 12:1-2....
"So, then, because we have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also throw off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus. For the joy that was set before him he endured a torture stake, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
Jesus is called "the faithful and true witness" of Jehovah.
Revelation 1:5...
"and from Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness,” “the firstborn from the dead,” and “the Ruler of the kings of the earth.”
Revelation 3:14....
“To the angel of the congregation in La·o·di·ceʹa write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God"
We aren't anything new....we are just the ones who accepted the cleansing and refining that God foretold for this "time of the end". (Daniel 12:9-10) I have explained the need for the cleansing, whitening and refining. God's worship needed to remove the unclean stains and impurities that had crept in centuries ago. Those who liked it the way it was, saw no need.
