I lost the link to this story. It was in the Daily Express about 55 years ago.
A taxi driver was taking an American tourist around London, when he stopped at a zebra crossing, there was a beeping sound. The tourist asked what the sound was, to which the driver answered "That's for blind people".
The American tourist the said "Oh, we don't allow blind people to drive in America"
