Christians in politics, what say you regarding this?

On the night before his execution Jesus asked his Father in prayer.....“I request you, not to take them out of the world, but to watch over them because of the wicked one. They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.” (John 17:15, 16)

"We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." (1 John 5:19)

My Kingdom is no part of this world. If my Kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my Kingdom is not from this source.” (John 18:36)

Pilate "said to the Jews: “See! Your king!15 However, they shouted: “Take him away! Take him away! To the stake with him!” Pilate said to them: “Shall I execute your king?” The chief priests answered: “We have no king but Caesar.

I discern from these scriptures that a Christian cannot be part of this world for all the reasons Jesus gave. Being NO PART OF THE WORLD that is ruled by satan means not being mired in its corrupt politics, its immoral lifestyle or its conflicts and bloodshed. Politics divides people but Christians were to be in unity. (1 Corinthians 1:10) Divided loyalties leave room for the devil. Divide and conquer is his favorite tactic.

The Pharisees said that they had "no King but Caesar" meaning that they preferred an earthly King to the one sent by God as their savior. Giving allegiance to the wrong King, resulted in Jesus being handed over for execution....a man found innocent by the nation's governmental representative, who washed his hands of Jesus' blood.

In the book of Daniel it is prophesied that when the Kingdom under Christ takes over world rulership, he will "crush" all worldly governments out of existence and replace them. In order to be on God's side, we can't take sides with this world. (Daniel 2:44)

To be 'friends with the world is to be an enemy of God'. (James 4:4)

I've stopped expecting right wing Christians to display integrity. They will have power by any means necessary, and it's all they care about. It probably says a great deal about the people that join up with them. The kind of people that ideology attracts. They only want to rule the world and lord it over everyone else.

Generalizing, you assert virtue is not required. What chapter and verse in the Bible says that?

It was a tongue in cheek remark regarding the blatant hypocrisy of christian conservatives. Those who've screamed the loudest about morality turned out to have none.

It could be worse. At least the women Trump supporters can form words.

what does this have to do with the video?

It has to do with Christians in politics......period. There is no way that Jesus has anything to do with the affairs of this world as the scriptures I quoted clearly show.

A National Leader is put in power in this world by the devil. How do we know this? Apart from their own conduct, we have the scriptures....
According to Luke 4:5-8...when Jesus was tempted by the devil....
"So he brought him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time. 6 Then the Devil said to him: “I will give you all this authority and their glory, because it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 If you, therefore, do an act of worship before me, it will all be yours.”

It is the devil who gives rulership to whomever he wishes.....not God or Jesus.

According to your video those "Christian" women think your President "can do no wrong".....perhaps starting a nuclear war with Nth Korea is a Christian thing to do....?
But since even a limited nuclear exchange would result in the deaths of many innocent people, I can only ask....is it a Christian thing to do?

If I were Christian watching this, I'd seriously consider atheism...

I found it interesting how they were saying that, before he became president, Trump didn't have all these people praying for him. They said that he has transformed during this past year from a "brash New York person" into what he is now. Do they pray for every president?

Here's a funny thing, folks both Christians and atheists around where I live always considered US to have it's own versions of Christianity. Though it's been exported from your country back to Europe, Africa and elsewhere, it has a different feeling. That's not to say that Christianity as it here hasn't had it's downsides.

The state church which is official religion for around 70% in my country is currently pro-diversity, has female, gay and trans priests, has sheltered illegal immigrants. The head, an archbishop when we had a terror attack against women had words of forgiveness and wishes for understanding to refugees. I think many left-leaning folks would mostly love our country's church...

Its another example of a news network not sticking to the news and trying to scare everyone to death.
