Yes it isn’t surprising. One of Trumps latest twitters saying that Democrats want an unchecked border which is one of many ridiculous notions I’ve heard since the campaign. I’ve heard people even say it’s because Democrats want to protect MS-13, criminal gang, which is essentially calling all children of immigrants criminals. That is also one of the ridiculous notions I’ve heard since the Trump campaign.

My favorite so far is Trump believing the Nuclear Option allowing for a simple majority in the senate would help pass the budget. The Republicans in the house are so fractured on spending that the only way a full year budget could pass is with Democratic support. Its why they keep dangling children's causes to get Democrats to sign on. The senate has 4 Republicans supporting the shutdown. One wonders if Trump knows anything that is actually going on. It seems like his staff keeps him in a bubble.
